I absolutely love Tim Hortons. But unfortunately, not this location. I have since stopped coming here. Be it known that I tried to take care of the issue privately, prior to the negative review, however my efforts to do so were ignored.
I'm just going to mention s few things, involving the same employee.
I observed on several occasions, the drive thru window worker, either making fun of and/or bad mouthing the individual on the other side of the speaker to her co-workers and anyone else within earshot. It is unfortunate that this behavior happens on a day to day basis....but it does. But the things she was saying should not have been done with the window open while I was waiting for my goods to come. This has happened on many occasions in my presence. I used to be a daily patron. If I can say that I observed her belittling someone more than 10 times during the short time I am at the window awaiting my order....how many times is she doing it when as all the other people are there?
A second example involving the same woman: once the ability to order and pay through the app on your phone came about, I was ecstatic. I know I know....the simple things excite me. An item on the menu came up that sounded great. It was a breakfast chicken sandwich. I dont remember which location I had my first one at....but it was amazing. Sometimes, it did not show up on the app, signifying the location didnt carry it. That's fine. If you dont carry it, you dont carry it. No harm, no fowl (get what I did there? Lol). Its always been on the app at the gowanda location. I have HAD the sandwich at the gowanda location. On a couple occasions, they've told me at the window that they dont have the sandwich there and I couldnt have that. There was no way to refund my account, so they would substitute. That's fine. There was a problem, they dealt with it. Then, I would order it again on the app and get my meal. I would continue to order it other times and this woman would start to get belligerent with me when I asked for the substitution when they didnt have the item available. I was apparently the bad guy. She raised her voice to me multiple times. One time in particular sticks in my head.
Crystal- "I've told you many times, we dont carry that sandwich" Me- ma'am, I've gotten the sandwich on other occasions here at your store" Crystal- "Stop ordering it! This is a breakfast place. I dont know why you'd order a chicken sandwich for breakfast. We will no longer substitute for you." Me- "Is your manager available?" Crystal- "No!"
Everytime "c" spoke, it was with increasing volume and excessive attitude.
And since I do not want to be completely negative...my experience with a woman there who identifys herself as Ricky, has always been a joy. She is polite and courteous at all times. Perhaps "c" should learn from her.
I will end this review by repeating that I tried to address this experience privately first, before the negative review. But my efforts went unnoticed. I have not been back to the gowanda tim hortons in about 3 months. And I will not go back until something...
Read moreThis Tim Hortons is great now-a-days if you are nice to them they are extremely nice back, Don't get me wrong some mess-ups will happen and there may be an issue sometimes but please do not just show up and get mad at timmies employees for factors that are out of our control. We live in a small, not so populated town of gowanda, so if Tim Hortons runs out of something, order something else? How would you feel if you were an employee that has had a line of guests out the door all day and you had no time to run back to the freezer and bake a lemmon poppieseed muffin for the one customer who ordered it. Another thing, if you come to Tim Hortons on a regular basis, then you know we run out of certain items because we can only buy so much. One of these things being seasonal items like pumpkin spice, I apologize that the past 500 customers ordered pumpkin spice muffins and now we are completely out of them but you could get a pumpkin muffin as soon as we get them back, we would be happy to serve one to you. Please do not be rude to the workers it does not help anything, if we make a mistake don't leave and post some mean review it only hurts our business, come back in and request to have it fixed, it may take a little time so bare with us, but it will be fixed for you. Coming inside rather than the drive-through is always a safer bet if you have the time, I understand most people are in a rush, and the employees will try and serve you as soon as they can. If you read this, then thank you, Please be nice to timmies, or else it will end like...
Read moreAre you kidding me? Visited the café for lunch - typically I use the drive thru window (which has always been excellent service!) My husband order the Italiano bagel sandwich - no pesto available, so ordered it dry. I ordered a Bacon Turkey club without cheese and without mayo. I also ordered a diet Pepsi. They were out of ice!? When we sat down we noticed the garbage can near the door facing the main street was pulled out with garbage spilling out all over, including on the tray return shelf. Opened my sandwich to find mayo smeared on, but no bacon. Should have returned it, but had a long enough wait for the food to begin with, so used a napkin to wipe off as much mayo as possible. One female worker had a broom and dust pan, doing a little (stressing little) sweeping by the parking lot entrance door. Then she straightened the Tim-Bit boxes, but never did any sweeping in the table area - even though it was a mess. We ate out lunch and exited the restaurant while the garbage can remained overflowing. Not sure I will return to this Tim Horton's. The cafes in Jamestown put this place to shame because the franchise owner visits each of the multiple restaurants he owns without notice to the employees. They are always on their toes and keep the pace of being much busier than the...
