I've ordered a lot from Big Nics and the pizza is good. I am also someone who loves to support small businesses. I always usually order dinner and there is always a very friendly girl working and no matter how busy it is she is always so sweet.
I went in for the first time this past week looking for lunch. There was a man working by the ovens and he saw me and didn't say anything and continued to work. I stood there for awhile trying to get his attention while he kept looking over. He huffed and said "What's the name" and thew his rag down super annoyed. I apologized and said I didn't place an order but was wondering if I could just order pizza by the slice. He said "No." and then turned his back and walked back into the other room. Didn't explain anything, didn't ask if he could get me anything else, just walked away. Incredibly rude. I was planning on ordering a full pizza to pick up later if I couldn't get slices but wound up ordering from Sweet Willys, another local pizzaria where I have never been treated this way.
I have always loved supporting this place despite the things I have heard from others and prices through the roof, but unfortunately that attitude leaves a bad taste in your mouth and I'd rather support another local pizza...
Read moreI love Big Nic's pizza (5 stars) but I do NOT love SLICE, the only way to have pizza delivered from Big Nic's. Tonight was the second time that I have had to call the restaurant to find out where my pizza is, only to be told that no driver has showed up yet. The second time that my food arrived well past the time promised, and obviously not piping hot! I don't know who gets the seven dollar delivery fee, but it's not worth it. (And by the way, the link says there are no fees!) And when I called, no apology, no offer, no restitution. Sorry Nic's, but this SLICE service may have cost you a loyal customer. * Edit after response below, to add that having Slice as the exclusive delivery option is a choice the owner made, certainly not the customers who pay the outrageous $7 fee. This poor delivery service therefore reflects on you, as the owner. Delivery used to be free! I was willing to give it a second chance after the first delay (of well over an hour), but I'm not going to pay a ridiculous fee for lousy service. Perhaps you should consider using Grub Hub, Uber Eats, Mealeo, or just getting a driver back? I checked, and I'm not the only one...
Read moreWhere do I even begin with this review? Let’s start with the pizza itself, because this is a pizzeria. It was worse than Costco pizza, which is like cardboard with dough, sauce and congealed cheese on top. The cheese was at a point where it wasn’t even stretchy, just dried up glue consistency. The sauce on the pizza, more bland than the dough itself. No taste, no flavor, and I don’t have CoVid.
The wings? They tasted of average bottled sauce covered frozen breaded chicken. It was more spicy bbq than actual medium hot sauce.
The only thing that had flavor and were good, were the garlic rolls. Not really knots, as it was leftover pizza dough that was rolled up like cinnamon rolls. And the sauce provided with the rolls was bitter and flavorless.
Lastly, the delivery person claimed they had been calling for 15 minutes while they were provided the incorrect area code. In all, I would never order from here, nor recommend this place to anyone else. One is more likely to have better tasting food...
