Birtchy's Joint — Restaurant in Town of Conklin

This place is a dirty scumhole. The owner and staff are rude and very unprofessional and talk to you with disrespect, like you owe them something. They will let anyone put food or drinks on your tab and charge you for it. If you try to tell them its wrong they tell you you’re wrong and do nothing to fix it. I wouldn not recomend this place to anyone. I would go to Charlies bar in Johnson city before I spent a penny in Birtchys. I also heard they had bugs in the kitchen. The food was fresh and incredibly tasty. We ordered full chicken spiedie pizza. Which was better than any local pizza shop. We also had a cheeseburger and loaded fries that were mounded with bacon & cheese. Charlie the bartender/cook was amazing BOTH times we have gone there to eat. His cooking, bartending AND checking on us to make sure that he didnt miss a thing!!! I have been to this bar many times. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. My only gripe is that I would like to see a few more TV's especially when sports are on. I was there this past Saturday and my friends and I were trying to watch several games at once. One TV was in the corner by the door and the other over the bar. A little funky but it works.
