The food was absolutely delicious! The staff was amazing! I gave a star for each of those things. The three that I refused to give are due to the owner. Yesterday, a very warm and humid day, we had a gathering of about 40 people in their party room, where there were two large air conditioning units. Only one was in service and it was obvious that it was not turned on too long before our arrival. The room was an inferno! After several requests to be moved over to the air conditioned side of the restaurant, which were all denied by the owner, we just gave up. Everyone was soaked with sweat, with it actually dripping down our faces. To add even further insult, hot food trays were set up, which basically felt like having a campfire in Hell! Instead of addressing the matter personally, he knew that morning that there wouldn’t be sufficient cooling, he made his employees do his dirty work. His way of appeasing us was to “eat” the dessert, which consisted of an excellent in-house made Tiramisu. Not only did he show an enormous lack of respect to us, but also to his employees, who were drenched with sweat as well. This was by no means a “cheap” party and he had no problem accepting our payment, which we did because it was the right thing to do. It is obvious that this man takes absolutely no pride in his business! Perhaps it is time to take yourself out of the game, Sir, for you are a...
Read moreGreat food and fantastic drinks, we came on Father’s Day weekend so as expected it was busy. The owner sat us right away and although our table was small we appreciated the accommodation! Tony was our server and we ordered drinks and appetizers right away. We waited about 30 mins to receive our clams casino (they were amazing and definitely worth the wait) however we never were given menus after we asked our server so we looked the menu up online. Another server Matt came to check on us and when we asked about specials recited from memory and was extremely polite and attentive. After a few mins tony came back and took our order, we received our dinner and the food was excellent. Matt (the other server) came to check on us we ordered dessert and coffee. After waiting a while for dessert Matt brought it to us and informed us it was on the house, very nice seeing as we waited a lot throughout our whole dinner. Tony brought us the bill we gave him the credit card and then he proceeded to say he was going to adjust the bill and when he charged our card it included the dessert.. confused we mentioned we were told it was on the house and his fix was to bring us alcohol. At the end of the day the food is great and we loved the server Matt, we wished he was our actual server. The bill should have been left alone not adjusted last minute but we will be back we just weren’t crazy...
Read moreFirst and foremost, it was uncomfortably warm and humid during our entire dinner. I’d never actually sweated like that in a restaurant before. Only as we were leaving did someone plug in a wall air conditioner, but it was too late for us. Once we were seated, it took about ten minutes before we even got menus—in fact the bread came before the menus did. The decor was relatively non-existent, and consisted of framed reviews of the restaurant and multiple huge Christmas present-type boxes with bows in between the framed reviews (I guess the holidays last into the summer at Fino). As far as the food, my wife’s white wine was barely chilled and just a bit below room temperature. Our entrees were mediocre at best, and way overpriced for what we got (my wife’s shrimp scampi had very few shrimps). The pasta in her dish was gluten free, and it was the worst I’d ever tasted. Gluten-free pasta we make at home out of a box is way better than what Fino serves (so be warned). Each of our entrees cost over $30, and for that kind of money you should expect a decent meal, as well as a decent portion of food. I do give good marks to the salads and grilled calamari, but that’s not nearly enough to get us to go back there ever again. For us, it...
