I visited this location on the evening of 10/15/22 after going to Fright Nights with my daughter. We placed our order in the app and proceeded to the restaurant. When we got there, we were 9 cars back in line, as I expected at that time in the evening. However, the first car did not leave the drive thru window for over 10 minutes. In that time, 3 vehicles left the line. It took about 20 more minutes and we finally got our order. When we arrived home planning to enjoy our meal, we were not happy with the disappointments in the bag. First, I pulled out all of the food and noticed I was missing my chicken quesadilla. That’s a $5 item. The nacho fries were cool at best. Another $4 lost. Finally, the Mexican Pizzas BOTH tasted like wet cardboard and were inedible, another $10 loss. With tax, that was over $20 in items we could not enjoy. Since the app is designed to NOT accommodate for messages to be sent, I sent a message on their site. After almost 2 weeks, I received a piece of mail. No phone call attempted, or if they did there was no voicemail. No email response. Just a piece of mail. In the envelope? A highly impersonal card with 3 coupons for 1 free item. Are you kidding me? First, I had an issue with 5 items, 2 of which were completely missing. Second, the coupons terms state you may use 1 coupon per person per visit. Excuse me, but my issue was with 5 items IN THE SAME ORDER IN THE SAME VISIT. What a slap in the face! I would have expected a refund of even a gift card, not some restrictive coupons. I will never visit the Taco Bell on Thompson Road in Syracuse again, and I would caution others as well. If you want a quick, accurate and delicious order, definitely avoid this location. Do better Taco Bell. And to the members of your customer response team, learn to math as the compensation should match or exceed the problem.
Edit: Someone recently reached out asking for my contact info. I sent it to the email provided. Yesterday in the mail, I received 2 coupons for $5 off, and you guessed it, for 2 separate orders. So my ONE SINGLE ORDER had 5 items that were either inedible or missing, and I get compensated with coupons that I have to use AT MY NEXT FIVE VISITS. Who taught you customer service? I placed almost a $50 order on 6/28 for delivery earlier in the day (around 5:45-6pm) and had an awful experience all around, which Tori was quick and happy to rectify. First, the order I made came extremely late. The driver gave my order to someone I don’t even know, and it gets worse. Half my food was missing, the other half was cold and looked like it had been punched repeatedly by Mike Tyson. I called initially to get a refund since I didn’t trust the food, and had thrown it away… but settled for a remake of the order. I’m not sure if my initial problems were a fault of the franchise, or the driver, but regardless they needed a fix. I went there after work (10:30pm) and spoke with Tori, and had my food quickly remade, so huge thank you to her. Good customer service was lacking as far as the girls working window. I get it, I also work/have worked in customer service and food service, it’s not ideal especially during a rush. If you can’t handle it, sorry, find a different job. It almost felt like Tori’s front end was upset that I was there for a replacement meal. One of the girls couldn’t even be bothered to hand my husband a receipt, just put it on our window. I won’t stop coming to this Taco Bell but I legit have to go inside everytime to pick up my order so I can have the time to make sure I got everything verse holding up the drive through line because every. Single. Time. Without fail… they don’t ever get my order right. The entire staff seems higher than Joe Biden’s medical bills. The other night we ordered about $45 worth of stuff and thank goodness I picked it up over my husband because he never looks to make sure.. they put three items in the bag. Despite the entirety of the order literally printed on to a sticker on the front of the bag.. I put all three items on the counter when the manager came over and he asked what I was missing and I said the entire order? He was confused but instead of apologizing or saying one word to me at all actually.. he just started writing on the sticker and walked back to talk to his staff and when I over heard one of his guys say he was making something i already had I assured him he didn’t have to make that one I got that one and the manager THEN decided it was time to tell me what was going on, they were just making the entire order despite the three items I already had. When I got it back there was one more mistake but they fixed It and that was that.
