Lousy management. We had made reservations (2) Full Months in advance for a 4pm on the day of our daughters graduation. We arrived a few minutes early and were first told by the hostess that our reservation was not 4pm, but 5pm. But when I told her she was wrong and then I pointed out that the number "5" was clearly written over the original "4" PM in their reservation book, a male whom I presume was the owner came out when the original hostess went for him. He changed their story, saying the truth is they have another party they booked after ours and they are running late and they tried calling that they left a message at our home (while we are at the graduation ceremony) that another party that was booked was running late and we would have to wait an hour or more. Completely unacceptable, it is the restaurant's responsibility to honor reservations and manage their tables for incoming reservations.
The Blue Fountain failed miserably in this regard and ruined a Two-Month reservation and graduation dinner as we had post dinner plans that would have overlapped if we had to be seated an hour later than we made reservations for.
So not only did they initially lie that we didn't have the 4pm reservation, they actually had the Nerve to attempt to change our 4pm reservation we had for more than two months on the very day of the reservation. Apparently GREED runs their business as they don't honor reservations if a larger party books later(as the hostess admitted to after their lies were revealed) and they failed miserably in honesty and communication. We will certainly NEVER consider the Blue Fountain for our dining needs ever again and would never recommend anyone trust a reservation for a special occasion at this...
Read moreWanted to go here for awhile always pass by when we are in town so we looked at the yelp reviews and figured it was worth a shot. The bar looked fun people talking laughing having a good time the decor was nice tables were far enough away to afford some privacy and the staff was friendly and professional. We started with salads with the house Italian dressing and coughed our way threw a few bites and had to put it aside because it was drenched in vinegar a cough with every bite. We moved on to our main courses my wife had a shrimp dish that was ok nothing special and I was in the mood for pasta so I figured I couldn't go wrong with the house signature dish it was flat shells with mini meatballs and melted cheese on top. Well my first bite brought me back to the 70's holy cow I never thought I would be eating chef Boyardee at a restaurant. I took a few more bites and was sure that I was correct right down to mini meatballs so I asked My wife to taste it without telling her what I thought and the first thing she said with wide eyes was Chef Boyardee. Needless to say I didn't finish my dish. I don't think you can imitate the taste of the Chef but it did bring back some great memories. On to dessert I had the chocolate mousse that was great and my wife had the cheesecake that was...
Read moreThis is a gem of a family resturant that is conveniently located yet tucked away at the same time. Once you arrive, Frank and/or Pina Marinaro, who have a honed their restauranteur skills here since 1994, will greet you with the same enthusiasm you receive when you visit your favorite relatives on the holidays. Once seated, the servers who are sharply dressed in crisp white, will go over the specials, take your drink order, answer any questions, accommodate any food allergies and if needed make recommendations. They are all seasoned servers that are on point yet allow your table to relax and unwind in the cozy ambiance. As for the food, where does one begin?! In addition to the seasonal delicacies such as zucchini flowers, the well priced menus will more than meet the mood your in. The meals are flavorful, balanced and the plating is instagram worthy. I can recommend the Zuppa Di Pesce, any of the fish specials that are in season. The portions are on the larger side which is great for a hungry person or take home. We will keep coming back here, hope you try them and feel the same...
