Fresh - Now owned by El Dominicano — Restaurant in Town of East Fishkill

I wanted this location to still be delicious! We haven’t been in a while and we are so disappointed. It’s completely changed. I don’t know if the staff doesn’t know what’s happening or if they don’t stock correctly but we went once on a Saturday and it was such a miss we couldn’t believe it. So we went back this past Thursday and still couldn’t fathom just had bad it has gotten. Our first visit, we ordered for 4, two orders one of regular fries other sweet! The sweet were great but the regular fries are just a miss for us. My kids got the tenders and one a hot dog. Tenders were overly greased almost seemed like bad fryer oil. My husband got the grilled chicken sandwich it was ok just didn’t blow us away. I wanted to get soup they didn’t have it so I just got a juice. The juice was great but our server completely forgot it I had to go ask for it. The sodas were 3.50/4 each and all the flavors were empty. We were refunded the drinks so that was nice but it honestly is one of the best parts the cane sugar soda. About a week after we decided let’s give it another try must have just been an off day. We ordered the kids just a cheese and bacon fry and we got the garlic parsley butter fries. The cheese is shredded bagged cheese just tossed on the fries and we were informed they were out of bacon as the food was coming out. The cheese wasn’t even melted just kinda sitting on the fries, not what you think of for cheddar bacon fries or no bacon. The garlic butter fries were just soggy greasy and had lack of flavor. I’ve had garlic fries before usually the garlic is obnoxious I’ll be honest we didn’t even taste garlic. The sandwiches this time were just not what they used to be, sadly. Fresh used to be where you went to get a better option then junk while still eating something slightly junky! It’s now honestly below five guys! The food is lacking that fresh food ingredient, popping flavors it used to have. Not having ingredients for too many menu options isn’t a good look either. Better to lessen the menu and have all the options flowing and bursting with flavor. Too many things to make and not enough of a true staff to really make it all flow could have this once good place closing down. We sadly won’t be back. I personally love going somewhere my kids can get something they like and I can grab something like a healthy juice. But the food just isn’t edible. Can’t keep wasting $50 to leave wanting to go back out to eat for real food. So many options in our beautiful town, this one unfortunately I think is getting missed by...

I hate to do it but today was kind of my last straw with Fresh Burger. My coworkers and I have been coming here off and on for some months and it's a hit or miss but usually a miss. Today we ordered online, and I ran to pick up food on my break. Once I got back to my work establishment, I noticed my bag was missing half of my order. Also, another person I work with had ordered the Chicken Broth Bowl and it had NO broth. I called and they offered to refund however I was hungry, so I drove back and picked up the food. I was a little disappointed because this is time off the clock and money I lost to go back.

Once I got back there the girl was super sweet and remade my coworkers order along with the other half of my order. I returned once again to my place of employment and gave the updated and remade order to the person in the office. The broth was ice cold and not all the ingredients were in the bowl. She threw it out and didn't eat. I called for a refund and was told it would take 3-5 days which is normal. What I didn't like is that there was no way to give a confirmation on the refund, and I honestly don't have time to clock the establishment or employees to get a refund. I do hope someone reaches out to the girl whose food was cold and wrong. (Small things like this have happened over the last few encounters I have had with this establishment, I just never was irritated enough to leave a review being that things happen, and people make mistakes) I believe when you are paying for a service or food things should try to be done correctly.

On a positive note. I have ordered my husband burgers from here and he does like them very much and I would recommend the onion rings I truly like them, and their Ceasar salads...

Asked for them over the phone to please make the burgers in my order “well done”. My receipt shows “well done”. As you can see in the photo, that is clearly NOT well done. Very upset about this… Ordered an hour and half before closing, so maybe the chef wanted to get them over with? I got two singles and my boyfriend two doubles( one shown in photo). Mine were also not well done but more medium rare, and not nearly as rare as my boyfriends burger. Would have called and driven back had they not closed already. For the price I paid plus the tip I left(about $40 in total), I felt this is not a place I would be returning to or is worth the cost.

My first burger was fairly tasteful, but my second one was full of pepper. It seems to be inconsistent and shows there is no care put into their burgers, which is disappointing because my boyfriend and I had high hopes and wanted to like them.

The packing is also sloppy and looked like one of my burgers was just slapped on the foil wrapping and wrapped closed. Presentation wise, I would honestly give it a 3/10. Taste is also a 3/10, the only thing that gave them flavor were the toppings. They looked like they were put together in a rushed manner, yet they were not busy and I was the only order for pick up.

If you’re also someone who only wants your beef well done, then I would definitely check your burgers in the parking lot before you drive off. Couldn’t believe this once we both took a bite in...
