Oriental Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of East Fishkill

This USE TO BE my go to chinese food place. Eddie and is staff have always turned out good food. That's why the 3 stars. 2 stars were taken off because of today's experience. The cooks were on their dinner break. Girl at the counter took my order and started cooking it. She then picked up her phone and was playing with it when the food was in the fryer. She even scratched her head. I was happy to see the young man (the one that usually takes order and collect money) get up to finish my order. He walks over playing with his phone too, doesn't wash his hands before he starts cooking, no gloves either. He picks up some vegetables with his hands and throws them in a pot for whatever he was making, if that were my order, I would've walked out. Please, put down your phones and wash your hands!!! Just to be clear, those are not the chefs that cooked like that, they were on break. Sorry for the honest review but I really like this place and want to continue to go there!

UPDATE! Went there again this week. Young man still playing on phone and gets up to help make food and take money, never washes hands in between!! He was scooping rice, it fell on the counter, he picked it up and put it in the container! I'm done with this place! It's too bad because it's good food and only see issues with the kid that used the cell phone...

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. The food was gross, after 2 bites I gave it to the dogs. I should have realized something was up when it had over 100 reviews and 4.5 stars. Too small of a town for that kind of feedback, especially when all of the others have around 10. Dont waste your money here, Golden Jade is where its at!

So here we are 3 years later and I tried this place again because Golden Jade is closed on Mondays and my nephew already placed an order before consulting with me. Ordered WHITE MEAT General Tso and it was stuck together pieces of spongy breading with little to no meat. The boneless bbq ribs were smothered in some kind of sauce did not taste good and were tough. The fried rice was ok. I don't know who writes these reviews but they're not accurate. I don't believe they're real. This is 3 years later and I was served the same garbage you would find served in the ghetto in the city behind bullet...

I was going to give them 5 stars but after the last order, I can't. I am 6months pregnant and wanted Chinese food while I was at work(overnights) and so I got it but I only ate like 2-3 bites because I was feeling nauseous and couldn't really eat it, so I took it home to eat when I got off. As I was ready to eat my food(warmed it up and all) took another 2-3 bites and bit this thing almost swallowed it, I was like why is this noodle so hard so I took it out of my mouth and this is what it is. I'm highly disappointed. I don't usually get lo mein from Chinese places but it was a craving(beef & broccoli with lo mein) and they messed it up for me. Their food is actually pretty good, but this right here was a very big disappointment and I won't be going back even tho it is down the street...
