Italian delis are becoming rare. S&J is a rare deli that makes its own sausages, sauce, and fried eggplant. We stop on Thursday for the cheese and parsley ring sausage and it's fabulous. They have a good selection of cured olives and Italian cheese. You can order fresh mozzarella by the pound and the salt-free mozzarella is kept in water at the counter. I stopped in here today randomly for breakfast. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese and a coffee. The bacon, egg and cheese was phenomenal. I especially liked the roll, which was noticeably fresher than most delis that I’ve gone to. The coffee wad excellent and I appreciated the person behind the counter put on a fresh pot for me since it was a little bit later in the morning. Looking forward to trying out for lunches sometime...
