J&G Deli and Market — Restaurant in Town of Eastchester

This deli has good food BUT the service is HORRIBLE. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous. Today, I went in to place my order of two sticks of dry sausage sliced thin. I know this can take forever -- The last time, it took them 20 minutes to have the casing removed from the sausage. So, I decided to place my order, then have lunch at the Greek restaurant (Elias) in the same strip mall, and then return to pick up my order. I told the man behind the counter that I would be back in 40 minutes and asked that he please have it ready, and he said he would. I returned an hour later and my order had not even been started -- they didn't even remove the casing from the sausage!!! I had no time and I had to leave empty handed. The owner, Fausto, simply put his hands up as if to say, "Oh well." UNREAL UNACCEPTABLE . . ....

WOW! I have not been in the area for some time but was today and needed coffee and lunch after a sad morning at a friend's funeral. Thought! Oh yea- that good deli in Chester Hts! Well - much to my surprise new owner and better than ever! The MOST delicious caprese sandwich I have EVER had, good coffee and the most delightful fellow taking care of me. I guess it was the wonderful proprietor who could not have been more delightful or welcoming. I wanted to go back in after having half my sandwich to tell him WOW and find out what the balsamic he used was. He also treated me to a chocolate cookie that was yummy - I was so tired I didn't go but made a point of noting the name so I could call and/or write a review! And I see some friends of mine are also in agreement, Nick DiNardo! Molto...

This Deli did a Injustice to sell it to a owner that had no business to take over this great establishment .. look is like if I owned a pizza shop and it has all the Italian menu and looks authentically as a Italian pizzaria .but they owned a mini bakery .well this Deli was probably sold to the hiest bitter ..From a great Deli to then you take a person who probably owned lil Deli serving cheap sandwich and cheap coffee .. .. look I was apuase when Lori sold it .. the very next day it was sold the sandwich I orderd was already shredded to a cheaper sandwich with the same price .. look you have a establishment you don't down grade...
