My family and I were visiting Chautauqua Lake, and heard Bemus Point Golf Course had good food. People in our group ordered the following. Burgers, chicken wing pizza, shrimp salad, cauliflower app, boneless wings, beers, cocktails, amongst other things that I can’t recall. It’s been a couple weeks since we visited. Let me start by saying our server, whose name I can’t recall, was great. She was very attentive and pleasant. The food on the other hand, was a totally different story. My wife’s shrimp salad was the most depressing looking salad I have ever seen. It was literally a bowl of iceberg lettuce, and 3 or 4 tiny flavorless pieces of shrimp. It tasted worse than it looked. My son ordered boneless wings, like he often does. They were as hard as rocks. He didn’t come close to finishing them, and that is a first. My burger was average. Tasted like a frozen patty, but the fries were the talk of the table. Completely soggy. Not even at touch of crisp. Awful. How can you not make a French fry?? Lastly, the chicken wing pizza was the grossest item on the table. Sloppy, soggy, with some dried out pieces of chicken fingers, not wing meat on it. The beers and cocktails were fine, and again, the server was awesome. Nice looking, clean restaurant.
