Haven't had a bad meal yet!! HOWEVER READ MOST RECENT UPDATE (TERRIBLE WAITRESS AND SERVICE: NEVER GOING BACK). Had a 🦃 sandwich that was freshly carved off a roasted Turkey! With the freshest crisp green lettuce, juicy ripe tomatoes! (I wanted thinly sliced) but got thick sliced tomatoes. I never been so pleased to get slightly incorrect order. To say the least, the tomatoes were an amazing Surprise! They were fresh and had a slight crisp to their bite as well. Juicy yet not soggy!! Too,

They make my very favorite Honey Garlic wing dings that are the absolute BEST I ever had!!! They're consistently juicy, crisp and FRESH!! Sooo unbelievably decadent!

TERRIBLE WAITRESS AND SERVICE: NEVER GOING BACK

Update from 2 yrs ago: The food is still decent but the service is unbelievably HORRIBLE. This one waitress, in particular, is so daggon rude.

My friend and I went for breakfast last month and this terrible waitress kept cutting me off while ordering, rolling her eyes and then went so far as to throw our cups and food when she brought them to the table.

Moving forward from that I decided to order food and pick up. Just yesterday, 15th October 2021, I placed my order over the phone.

I was admit about ordering angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce. The girl on the phone, so happen to be that terrible waitress, took my order. After she gave options for protein, I declined the chicken and shrimp and requested salmon.

Long issue short, I arrive to the restaurant. She tells me of my order I stated that I ordered the pasta Alfredo. This terrible waitress decides to argue me down stated that I cancelled the angel hair Alfredo to get the Salmon dinner INSTEAD.

She then went on to say that she could add the pasta for $5 extra!! I then stated, forget it all. Service has gone to garbage here. And that waitress is just despicable. I wouldn't advise going to this...

I stopped at the Port Ewen Diner during a weekday in July, 2023. I drove in the wrong way according to the signs. It seems like they have a one way in and one way out system. Well, I failed that when turning in quick coming from the north. Between the quick approach to an unfamiliar customer, crossing the lanes and on coming traffic, I failed. I had been to this diner many years ago, but this was like a new experience years later. The diner isn't very large. But it seems to have more tables than you might think from looking at the building. The building seems just right. It is laid out well. It did take quite a while to get service. But they were somewhat busy at the time. But when we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly. The food was decent and we enjoyed it. It was basically breakfast and it's hard to screw up breakfast. Yet you would be surprised how many places that I've been has done just that. This diner made me a decent breakfast. And the price was overly expensive. So I wouldn't say this wasn't the fastest meal ever. But everything was adequate and very acceptable. When I add up the positives, they far outweigh any minor flaws I might have seen. My 9 year old son ordered the kids chicken nuggets. He loves chicken nuggets, but didn't like theirs at all. My husband and I both tried them and didn't think they were very edible either. The outside of it was so hard, couldn't easily cut it with a knife. Once we finally cut it in half, the meat looked disgusting. I tried it and the breading was so hard, reminded me of a hard plastic, the inside was like chewing on rubber. Tasted nothing like a chicken nugget. There were 5 of us and we each had something different and none of us liked our meal. The shrimp had way too much lemon on it, felt like you were eating a lemon and not a shrimp.
