Castaway's Waterfront Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Evans

DONT EVER GO HERE!!! Worst staff I have ever encountered!!! When I walked in and I was greeted by a older woman with her butt checks hanging out of her shorts. I Ordered a 13$ souvlaki salad!!! (The waitress didn't even know what came on it when I asked ) my salad came out with brown lettuce. Brown lettuce for $13!!! When I told the waitress she laughed in my face and just walked away and went downstairs. I got up and went down stairs and told her I would like my money back and she refused. She then told me to get out and that I wasn't welcome there for no reason at all!!! and then started to insult our clothes and everything about us. The "manager" came over and was asking us what was wrong. While we talked abt the issue he the same waitress walked right behind the manager and laughed and said "bye" with a real smirky attitude" the manager didn't even stop her or say anything about it. I've ever seen such bad customer service in my life!!! *NEVER...

Yes this restaurant is pet friendly. But 3 dogs is to much for them (understandable)

Pros: good wings decent prices for food. Good view from top dining deck. Owner or cook came out and followed up with our food to make sure everything was okay.

Cons: 7$ for a char-broiled hot dog is ridiculous.

Waitress had no idea what was on tap, and what they where out of.

She was short with us and acted like she didn't care about the customers at all.

The grill/grease vent is right under/outside the upper deck and thr grease smoke would waft up to the deck.

I feel as if either derby or the close surrounding area has gone down hill as people where drinking liquor out of the bottle in the parking lot and throwing slurs and hand gestures at patrons of the neighboring bar and causing a ruckus that police even had to come.

Last night at Castaways, a deeply disturbing incident occurred. An off-duty employee attacked a young woman, and instead of addressing the situation, the bouncer antagonized the victim and her family. No one was able to talk to the owner. When asked to speak to him the staff refused to notify him of the incident at that time.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, the staff did nothing to intervene or address the issue. The police were called and talked to the victim.

The off-duty employee's behavior was aggressive and completely unprovoked. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they showed no concern and did not take any steps to ensure the safety of their patrons.

This incident has made me question the safety and management of Castaways. I hope the owners take serious measures to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure a safe environment for...
