Citrus Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Fallsburg

I walked into this place with my wife and daughter. My daughter recommended this place , its upstate I don't mean to insult the upstate restaurants but i lowered the bar , you are upstate be blessed these hard working who truly have a business for about 4 months a year but have to pay the cost all year round we really must make sure we support all restaurants upstate when you go out with your daughter for a quick lunch near her camp, where she works, The minute I walked in and I saw all these young people with hand helps POS devices . I really thought it was going to be great service. I was exactly right! The food is great. But The service is outstanding! I had to go to the owner and tell him. My wife waved the owner over and said don't worry it's a good thing I think unfortunately he's used to taking complaints but I had to tell him how phenomenal the staff is he is on site Hands-On going to every table for to six eight people at a table I can't recommend this restaurant more enough There, it's very packed, but they will get you a seat. You will eat and under an hour. I cannot recommend this place more. And kudos to the owner who hires our local teens, trains them. And has a phenomenal restaurant, I can't recommend more. I hate to bash a kosher restaurant in an area where there aren't so many, but maybe it will be cause for improvement. I went to this restaurant for the first time on Labor Day weekend. Place is roomy and hostess was nice enough. Décor and ambiance are nice. Problem is the food. The salmon burger was tasteless and over salted. Besides the salmon being tasteless, they use those generic beef steak tomatoes that are pinkish colored in their burger. For a $25 salmon burger, and fresh farmer's markets around, you can't put a couple slices of a real tomato in there? My daughter and wife said the fries, including the truffle fries were too salty. I couldn't eat the fish tacos. It tasted like someone sprayed glass cleaner too close to the food. I demanded my money back on those. The pizza looked amateurish at best, and no one liked it. I tasted it, and I though the sauce was decent, but the cheese lacked salt. I guess they used all the salt for the burger and fries! It's a shame because it could be a nice place if they got better...

I was there last with my family, went cuz between all the others on the block this was empty and we like a quiet place, I should've figured that there's a reason to why the place is empty. After ordering dinner for a couple of hundred dollars, I asked for 2 oz of boiling water for my baby's bottle, I was told there's a $3.75 charge for hot water!!!!!! When asked for a spoon I was given attitude as if I'm asking for a luxury item!!!! We finished our meal quickly, paid and left...... we ended up crossing over and buying our desserts elsewhere.
