Michaela May's Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Florence

We frequently travel the UP and as such we try different pasties all over the area. We are from Milwaukee and make a point to stop here nd get our fill. This time we tried this donut that at first glance it’s a raised donut with some type of cream piped on top. But what was inside!!!!! The most delicious strawberry/raspberry filing. The cream on top? That was the MOST delicious cream ever. Not grainy like buttercream can sometimes be. My husband took a bite and wanted the whole thing. It was sooooo good. The pasties? Gem along Rt2. Very clean and the aroma of baking meets you right in the front door. The Pasty has a wonderful light crust and savory filling. They are huge so we split one on the shaded patio. Blueberry pie to go. Mini muffins, cream puffs and cinnamon rolls look so good too! We will stop here again and highly recommend this shop! We happened to be driving through and saw the sign and stopped hoping for a late lunch. I really enjoyed my pasty. My daughter took a bite and decided she wanted that for lunch, too. The bread looked amazing so I got a loaf of French, it lived up to expectations! I sliced it and put some butter on. My wife's comment was "I need more of that bread in my mouth!"
