Mernie's Pub — Restaurant in Town of Fort Ann

In 2012 I was heading back to California, disc golfing my way across each state after being a spectator at the Disc Golf World's Championship in Charlotte, NC. I was getting gas and saw Mernie's bar across the street so I asked the cashier if it was an ok place a stranger could go in and they said absolutely. Passing through Fort Ann on my wayward journey through life, my wish of one day visiting Mernie’s Pub almost came to fruition, had it not been for my furry traveling companion. Alas, I am not sure Mernie - with its wholesome reputation - allows canines on their premises. Next time I will definitely make more of an effort and make a night of it. 🍺
