I placed an order on the app for pickup in store on 9/16/21, around 7 pm. My wife and I arrived and entered at the same time an older couple left. We stood there about five minutes without an employee sighting and were wondering what was going on. We then heard somebody in the back yell something, followed by silence again. I figured the employee didn't know we were there due to the door making a 'ding' when we entered, as she figured it was the older couple leaving. I walked to the door and opened and closed it again and within a few seconds, she appeared. I am unsure of her name, but it was clearly obvious she was overwhelmed. She had blond hair and a tattoo on the inside of her forearm. She greeted us and asked if we were the to go order, in which we said we were. She apologized and started making our order. We could see on the computer screen there were six orders coming in and the drive thru started piling up. We felt terrible for her. She was by herself, handling the counter, the to go orders and the drive thru. She was very courteous to us and completed out order as fast as she could.
I understand, with all of the free handouts, finding help is difficult. I don't know if somebody called in sick or was on a lunch break, but leaving this woman to do everything was difficult to watch. We both wanted to ask her if we could come back and help somehow- whether doing dishes, cleaning up or anything we could do. She was clearly too busy to ask. She was working incredibly hard juggling ten tasks at once.
If people are having a hard time hiring people, please consider giving the people you currently have a raise. This woman deserves it. Treat the workers you have correctly and make them feel appreciated. She is in a thankless job where people usually only take time to complain and not praise. I hope she was not alone- I cannot imagine how she would be able to keep up. The amount of stress in her body language was obvious. She was, again, overwhelmed and appeared ready to break. Read moreOne star bc I stood at the register for several minutes while I listened to the employees talk amongst themselves where they could definitely see me. I was upset I stood for so long and just sat down until they were ready to ask me for my order. Another customer came in and he was immediately greeted by the employees (I could tell he was a regular.) I made eye contact with multiple employees and nothing was said to me, not even a smile was offered. Homeless near me will be happy to hear this is a safe space to get out of the weather without paying, now that it's getting colder. Read moreOrdered through the app for 2 coffees and munchkins for dine in at 6 PM and once I arrived the lobby was locked and the employees noticed I was waiting outside and did nothing. Other people also ordered dine in and were locked out and then I proceeded to enter the drive through and they were all out of pumpkin flavoring even though the app said nothing about this. Once I get up to the window they give me the 2 coffees and they tell me to have a good day without giving me the munchkins and when I ask about the munchkins they tell me they are all out of donuts. How are you gonna be completely out of donuts at 6 PM. Then we have to ask for muffins instead of the munchkins because we already paid for them and we get the muffins and they are not properly cooked.
