These could be the best burgers but we will never know. We came on Monday which is Smashburger night. Ended up leaving after one drink which was unfortunate. Greet patrons when they walk in and get a drink in their hand within minutes. If you are trying to drive traffic on a Monday with half off burgers, you need to make money on your drinks. Waited for 15 minutes before anyone said hello (we sat at the bar). All restaurants are short staffed. Own it. Smile, Say hello, explain you are a bit short staffed and get the drinks out. Zone defense is the best defense. Assign an area and work it. One employee was running around and accomplishing nothing other than making patrons angry. At one point someone else asked for a drink and the employee snapped and actually made a face behind the patrons back. Yes, we all saw you do this. If you are going to put up a beautiful billboard advertising your burgers, and then offer a deal on Mondays, by god you need to crack those burgers out faster than 2 at a time. We couldn’t even get an employee to take our $ for the one drink we were able to get. We put our money on the bar and left. You may only have 3 employees for awhile, sit down and figure out what needs to happen to make it work. You are in a beautiful location. Go eat at The Shipwreck and figure out what they are doing right and replicate it. They got our business that night...
Read moreI believe in honest reviews and this is mine: We went early for a bite to eat before the entertainment. Sat in the dining room for quite a while before being served. (although a couple came in after us, sat down and got waited on immediately) Finally got waited on and then waited another long time before the food was served. Food was good except for the fact that I ordered a steak sandwich done medium and it came to me well done. I used the restroom only to find out there was no hand soap. I went in a second time maybe 1.5 hours later, and still no hand soap. This time I asked staff for some soap. They came back with hand sanitizer, saying they were still looking for soap. I asked how staff washed their hands and they said they used dish soap from the kitchen. I would like to believe that they were just ill prepared for a holiday weekend, but with bad service and missing essential supplies, I think it was more than that. I won't be going back.
I gave the Pine Cove 2 stars. The 2nd one was strictly for the entertainment. Pat McCurdy was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed his show which was out on the patio. It's a shame that we missed a good portion of his first set, waiting on...
Read moreService is terrible. They should not promote an event like "rock the lake" featuring 3 bands when they can't accommodate their guests. Obviously they would be busier than usual. I stood at the bar, front row, right in a bartenders face and had a bartender look me straight in the eye saying "I will be right with you" only to have someone who just walked up being taken care of before me, and that happened numerous times to the point of after 7-8 times of that I gave up. After 20 mins. .I was happy not to spend a dime there, went elsewhere on the lake being taken care of in a better manner. This is NOT my first experience with this type of service there, it's happened before even when they weren't that busy. I do understand being busy but I don't understand "I will be with you in a moment" but then they totally forget about you. When obviously someone they know gets taken care of immediately, I am also a great tipper when service is good. Glad I hung on to my money tonight and spent it elsewhere...
