Corner Ice Cream Store — Restaurant in Town of Guilderland

I thought I deserved a treat today so I stopped by for a rare visit. This is at the end of a strip mall, but I still remember when they were at their old location which was more accessible. Still plenty of parking and extensive menu of both hard and soft ice cream and typical Food for an establishment of this type. The fish fries and french fries look especially good. I had a cup of vanilla soft serve with cookie crumble, which was great. Friendly staff. They take credit cards now as well. I only took off one star because on a hot day like today. They only have one table that is in the shade. There is more room to move another table under the awning for days like this when it is...

The Corner Ice Cream Store like a few other spots is a long standing institution in Guilderland. While no longer located on the corner of Route 20 and Carmen road at it's original location the Corner Ice Cream Store continues to deliver every summer in the corner location of the strip mall it's located in on the corner of Carmen Road and Old State. Service is brisk and expect long lines on summer nights as many flock to the location for an after dinner treat. Little known fact (in my opinion) - is that they make THE BEST Ice Cream Cakes on this earth. If you haven’t tried one already just do it. I was never a fan of ice cream cake - but WOW. I’m going to order another just to keep in my freezer to be honest. The first time I had it actually I was in shock - because it was that great. Obviously Ice creams good too.
