Hat Trix Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Hamburg

Stopped in 7-28 around 5 to grab some food as we were told to check this place out by a few people. Walked in and sat at the bar. Young gentlemen behind the bar after a few greeted us and got us drinks. We ordered food fries, deep fried pickles and a double order of wings. Pickles and fries came out and were ok. Fries were way over cooked. Waited forever to get another drink. Seems you have to be a regular to get any service. We waited and waited for the wings we ordered. The guy that served us I guess cashed out and went and sat at a table. He was enjoying wings we still never got them. The blonde behind the bar walked past up 10 times we had empty cups and our food was gone mind you still no wings. She finally goes did you need anything and we were like you know what were all set. This was 45 min atleast since we ordered food. She walks away after 5 min she's like did you want your check we said yes we get the bill and the wings were on there took another 5 min to get her attention to tell her we never got the wings she giggles and said I guess I can take them off the bill. Then goes I can have them make em real fast if you want. We sat there for an hour without getting them took forever to get acknowledged I can see why it was dead in there. Maybe 7 people at yhe bar and 10 seated. I can not believe the horrible time we had which was not a good first impression. There were a couple guys sitting there said sadly this is normal. It is what it is. Sad because the place was really talked up by my friends. Management needs to get engaged In the business because the people who were working there sucked. Local dive in a new location with daily specials. Hat Trix got a face lift when they recently moved into the old L’Isola D’Oro. It’s much bigger, cleaner, newer and nicer than it was. They have a real sign now too which is a plus. This is only funny if you knew their last location.

We stopped in to visit some friends before the eclipse. It wasn’t busy but we enjoyed some great company and took advantage of their $.50 wings. Wings were big, hot, crispy and saucy. We tried the spicy bbq, yummy and the heat crept up quietly. Darts, tv’s with games and a video crack machine in the corner round this place out. They have a full bar and bar food menu options. Pricing for food was very reasonable.

Service was terrible. They claimed they were busy but the place has like 11 tables that fit 2-4 people a table. They had two servers and a bar tender and still struggled. Went for the all you can eat grab legs on Wednesday. Not worth it. It takes them an hour to serve 3 crab clusters then you wait to get seconds for like 30 minutes and it’s again 3 clusters. This was supposed to be all you can eat but they take there time because they know they can’t allow you to get your monies worth. I had two plates and left because i was there for 2-1/2 hrs already.
