Ellie's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Hanover

I was sick and unbeknownst to me my friend had Door Dashed Ellie's Deli food to me. The delivery man arrived and I turned him away because I thought he had the wrong address! When I realized it had been ordered for me, I called Ellie's Deli explaining my mistake--the customer service was wonderful and the delivery came back. The food was so good. The salad was fresh and crisp-- nothing wilted or mealy or watery. The cheese freshly grated and the hard boiled egg was perfect without the grey-green ring around the yolk. I thought all those small details in a side salad made it so delicious. The same goes for the fries and sandwich wraps. The French fries were satisfying like any restaurant style fry. While I wouldn't have minded if the flour tortilla wraps had been pre-toasted, the sandwich wrap itself had tasty and well seasoned chicken breast, provolone, and crisp shredded lettuce. I lived and worked in silver creek for about 5 years so I'm very familiar with all of the local restaurants. Ellies Deli has great food pizza, wings and calzones. Although I feel it was much better years ago. Not always the best when your getting a few slices for a lunch special but if it's fresh ive been fairly happy. The one star review has mostly to do with there service that has also gone downhill over the years from my experiences. They recently ruined my best friends 20th birthday party and lost longtime neighborhood customers including a whole company that will likely throw there faxes/specials in the garbage for sure. I have absolute nothing good to say about the service and manager who I believe is Jerry or the service I've received...

“We don’t deliver to the rez” — I order my food, give the guy on the phone my address, explain exactly where I am because it’s a specific spot while he never mentions a problem. I get a phone call an hour later wondering where I am because he’s at the wrong spot, so I explain I’m 1 min over the bridge that’s the rez & he says “we don’t deliver on the rez” which is weird because I’m still in Irving where they deliver just fine? Not only that I’m only a few hundred yards from where their “rule” kicks in. It’s a very odd rule to make when you could go the extra half a mile & cater to a whole other community.. Pats & Maria’s both deliver on the Reservation just fine & they’re both a mile further. Something about that “rule” doesn’t sit...
