McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Hanover

Oh my god this location is VERY bad.. We went here to get Brunch headed home after visiting Niagara Falls. In the drive-thu, I ordered a filet o fish sandwich and a Oreo milkshake for my father. She said they didnt have the oreo ice cream but they could use vanilla and mix oreos in the milkshake. That was fine. Then for me I ordered a double quarter pounder, just the sandwich. On the screen it said meal. I told the person it was just supposed to be the sandwich. She assured me that it was just the sandwich or it would be.. But it was like $12. Ive never been to New York and I know its more expensive up here so, I guess I will see. We get to the window and yup, it was the meal like I said and like the screen said. So I tell the manager, and she says "so it was just supposed to be the sandwich?" Yes... So she refunds me the difference and gives me the sandwich, however no filet o fish and no milk shake. Smh. So again had to wave them, and asked about the rest of my order, and she said you just said you wanted the sandwich. Yup, to my part. Not my fathers stuff... So we finally get all of it. But his "oreo" milk shake was only topped with Oreos and not mixed in like she claimed. We were just fed up and left. No thank you to this location. Terrible...

I don’t usually write reviews for fast food, but the McDonald’s in Irving, NY right off the Erie shore deserves some credit. Whether we’re passing through or heading to the lake, this location has become a go-to stop for us—and it’s consistently solid.

The place is clean, well-maintained, and the staff actually seems to care. Every time I’ve been there, the service has been quick and friendly. Even during busier times, the line moves fast, and the food comes out hot and fresh.

The fries here are always crispy—like, actually crispy—and the burgers are put together better than most other locations I’ve been to. I usually get a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, and it always tastes right. No cold buns, no sloppy builds. They get it right here. And when I’ve gone inside, the dining area has been clean with a calm atmosphere, which is rare for fast food.

It’s also in a convenient spot for travelers—right near the water and some good roadside views. Honestly, it’s just a reliable, well-run McDonald’s that stands out for doing the basics well. If you’re in the area and need a quick bite, this is...

I tried to order food and was asked to repeat my order. As I repeated my order the young lady got extremely rude snapping at me because I was speaking slower. I said excuse me, don't yell at me and she said well your talking to me that way. I said you asked me to repeat my order so I am. Someone else came on to take my order and then I drove to the window asking for a manager. The young lady took my cash and went in back with window open . I could hear several staff members laughing , no manager, 2 young males came to window acting as manager but were not more than 16-17 years old, both laughing. A nice young lady( different than who has my cash) came to window who seemed to be only employee working and said manager is on phone so this means the 2 young men were lying but I knew tha! The girl still had my cash! I called 800 number and I will make sure this is handled as the price of food goes up because these kids want to make a good buck, I expect some kind of decent customer service. As for whoever the manager is , better be let go also as they could not make any attempt to come...
