Went there once out of a desire to check out this beach I always hear about. Upon arriving on a random summer weekday, finding a parking spot was slightly annoying on the small and cramped streets. Finally settling in the corner of a small lot, I walked up to the gate with a cooler of food, some beach chairs, and friends and family. As we reached the gate, the girl sitting there asks us for an ADMISSION FEE (i didn't realize this was a concert).. so I walk back to my car, grab my money, and walk back to the gate. After paying, she tells me, "sorry, you can't bring the cooler or chairs inside". .. . REALLY?! I put the cooler, chairs, and everything except our towels back in the car, and go inside. The beach is not only crowded, but it's small by comparison of say Presque Isle State Park (over 20 times the size, and free, and zero restrictions), or hamilin beach out by rochester, both also having incredibly large park areas to enjoy the outdoors near the beach as well.
Personally, I'll never return there again, theres just plenty of better and free beaches out there with a lot more to offer than a tiny enclosed restricted pay beach. I should have known better when I saw the word "club", because that's all it is, a teenie-bopper...
Read moreMet up for a class reunion. Couldn’t drink so I ordered food. They had an advertisement board out right by the register. Then told me the board wasn’t updated and what I wanted wasn’t available. No big deal. Until they hand us a menu and the prices are near double what’s listed on the board. So we go “cheap” we got 4 mozz sticks and 3chicken fingers. And 2 small pops. Cost about $25. The pop did not taste like pop they called it Pepsi but it was clearly either a knock off or they did something wrong to it. Way to watery. Tastes like chemicals. Didn’t drink it. Mozz sticks were still cold. Breading came off and unveiled a completely intact cheese stick. Didn’t eat those at all. Got 3 maybe 4 inch chicken finger drowning in sauce. Breading was mushy. Only ate 2. Atmosphere was okay. It was raining a little and they closed the doors. Their security told us we couldn’t play games because we look like we would sue them. We looked like trouble. We had beach gear on and were waiting to get back outside to enjoy the reunion. Only 5 people were drinking and no one was drunk. We had gotten there an hour prior to the comment. Food is terrible. Get food across the way and then go there to spend a crap ton on drinks....
Read moreThe boats were way too close to the swimming area so the water tasted and smelled like gasoline, the music from the Club was VERY loud and not very good, the swimming area/beach area was very small and became even more condensed by the bar fencing off a section of beach for tables (instead of using their balcony space, which was empty) as well as the swimming area being condensed by the boats. Finally, the alcohol policy is kinda trash because they just want you to buy from their bar so they take your walk in drinks at the gate and don't offer any refund. It literally felt like a terrible version of spring break when we went on the 4th. Would reccomend any of the other local beaches over this one. Fortunately, we managed to salvage a good time out of the day....
