This place is super, super under the radar if you're not a local. It's not unusual for me to take a quick look at Google Maps by my office to scope out some potential lunch spots, but Lynch's wasn't on there - it took me almost a year to discover that it even existed, and it was only because it showed up in my nearby Yelp activity feed that I checked randomly one day. Part of the issue is that Lynch's apparently changed locations within the past year or so, but this is a lesson to keep your eyes open and your radar attuned. I did not expect to end up having a meal randomly at a golf course, but here we are.

If you're coming from 202 and have never been here before, it's easy to miss the turn to the restaurant - the prominent signage for some reason is facing southbound drivers, so I actually drove past it the first time. I'd put something out for the northbound adventurers in the future. It also didn't occur to me until I was actually in the parking lot, but of course there's a slight risk to your car when you park next to a golf course. There was tons of nearby netting but I side-eyed the "Park At Your Own Risk" sign pretty hard as I drove by (a sign much easier to spot than the one for the restaurant). My car was perfectly fine; something tells me the gentleman on the nearby putting green was not much of a threat. The fall foliage was at absolute peak, so even if this had been a dumpster fire of an experience, at least I got to admire the scenery on the way in.

The vibe is hard to explain, but my biggest takeaway is that the bar/restaurant isn't their bread and butter. You can see from the adjoining dining areas that this place is probably into catering events more than serving day-to-day customers; there were at least two banquet hall-type rooms, and it looked like you could sit down there for lunch, but it seemed more appropriate to me to either sit right at the bar or at one of the nearby high-tops. It's also interesting to be in a restaurant with prominent views of the trophy cases and golf pencils out in the main area of the club. This is not a golf course I'd describe as bougie compared to some others in the tristate area, but there were definitely a lot of old white guys namedropping Westchester and Manhattan in one part of the bar, while local Rockland old white guys were in a different section. It was an interesting non-diverse mix.

The women at the bar were very nice and hospitable. I was given a menu immediately, and I had no issues tracking anyone down; they were nearby at all times, ready to assist. I went with a plain hamburger cooked medium rare with a side of fries. Honestly? Not great. The burger was not cooked evenly, and the vast majority of it was close to well done, which I consider to be pretty tasteless. The middle bites were by far the tastiest because they were actually more medium rare, but the entire burger was pretty greasy and I had to be careful in how I handled the bovine because the grease kept dripping onto my hands. Not something I'd get again, though I did like the automatic inclusion of the English muffin, which is an underrated cattle accompaniment, in my opinion. The fries were pretty good; they definitely needed ketchup for flavoring purposes, but by and large they were crispy (which is my preference) and did the job.

It's hard to walk away from this thinking about a potential return visit, but the service and staff were very good - it makes me think again that this is more of a candidate for a birthday party, etc. than a Thursday...

We chose this place solely based on Google reviews, and once again, they didn’t let us down! Here's a breakdown of our experience:

Ambience: The entrance was a bit confusing at first—partly because the main room was booked for a private event and also because the restaurant is located within a golf course. However, once we found our way, we were seated outdoors with a lovely, peaceful view. The indoor area was also spacious and well-lit, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Depending on the weather, both indoor and outdoor seating are great options. You could even pair your visit with a round of golf.

Food: We started with a virgin mojito and lemonade. Our server gave us a heads-up that the mojito might not be the best and offered to replace it if we didn’t like it. It turned out to be just okay—definitely room for improvement. The lemonade, on the other hand, was refreshing and exactly as expected.

Next, we tried the Messy Nachos, which were super fresh and well-portioned for the price. For the main course, we ordered the Shrimp Bisque Pasta and the BLT Shrimp Wrap with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious—light, fresh, and flavorful.

Service: Our server, Megan C., was kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Despite being busy with the event inside, she ensured we had a great dining experience.

Special Note: A nice touch was the letter from the owner printed on the back of each menu. It shared a heartfelt story about how the restaurant came to be and their commitment to giving back. These small details really add to the charm of a place.

Overall: Given the quality of the food, the scenic view, and the reasonable prices, this was a great spot. Would...

Lynch’s is fortunate last minute find for a belated 50th birthday treat✨✨✨

Ms. Lauren reserved a table for us last night 25 minutes before we reached Lynch’s. She was considerate and explained on the phone that only the small dining room is available. During dinner, she checked on us twice if everything’s okay!!

Lynch’s staff were very busy running back and forth for their diners and yet Ms. Brenda asked us if we’ve been served (We did not have to call her attention.). She immediately took our her order pad.

Water, warm bread and raisin bread were immediately served. We were hungry and welcomed the complimentary bread. Not long after, our Ceasar Salad and Chicken Wings were in front of us followed by the Chicken Barley soup. My guests were pleased with all the food. Our Seafood Fra Diavlo (fresh calamari, clams, scallops, shrimps) and tender Mixed Grilled Meat (beef, chicken, sausage) with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and perfectly prepared mixed vegetables were all delicious😋.

Their dishes’ portions are generous and reasonably priced. Our main courses also included the cup of soup.

Most noteworthy is the attentive staff of Lynch’s. They have warmth towards their customers even if it was our first time there.

Thank you so much Ms. Lauren and Ms...

We had a fantastic late lunch/ early dinner here on a Sunday after our hike. Place was packed and the servers were still attentive and nice and super helpful. Food was awesome, we got a table outside and it was lovely. Thanks for such a great meal and for dealing with an extra table on such a busy day!
