Maliblue NY — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

First off...the food was okay. I had the lobster roll and it was not the best I tasted but fresh at least. The worst of it was when we went to pay and it was me, my husband, and my sister. My husband paid for my meal and my sister paid for her meal. So we gave them 70 cash and the rest was to go on my sister's card which was suppose to be 19 dollars with change. They ended up charging her card 107 and change. Don't know how that happened. It was not even the amount they charged us...which was 89 dollars and change. My sister had checked her account on her phone because it seemed weird. When They brought back the receipt it said 89 dollars and the waitress was telling us to change it to 19 with a pen. They are running a scam in there. Then we questioned them. They supposedly fixed it and charged my sister an extra 19 dollars for food. Which did not appear on her card statement. Then the worst of it all they never apologized. My sister checked her account again before we left the beach because they said it would fall off in an hour or so. It did not and the 19 dollars was not charged either. So she went back over there to see what they could do. Instead one of the men...an older man proceeded to tell her that's it's her fault and that she should not have paid with a debit or credit card. Like what century are you living in. He was so defensive and caused a scene in the restaurant with my sister becuase she wanted her money back because it seemed like a scam. He just kept coming up with reasons as to why it was her fault and her bank's fault. Even stating that the extra money was from the tip...which was given in cash. But she should have gotten no tip. I believe he thought maybe she was young and black that she was stupid and uneducated. I don't know...an older white man acting like that towards a black female seems racist. Anyway that whole situation was terrible because he clearly lacked any knowledge of costumer service. He literally got into a heated argument with a costumer in front of everyone. It was not about the money at that point it was the principle of it all because he kept on telling it was her fault they charged her a random 107 dollars instead of 19. Maybe they thought they could do that because were the only black...

Went with friends on Taco Tuesday night. What a disaster. No utensils, no plates, no water. Received a small glass of margaritas instead of the nice tropical glass which is significantly larger. Service was incredibly slow. Table next to us got up to get their own water and utensils. Informed waiter of a shrimp allergy at our table. First our food was given to another table and then finally was given to us(covid problem with that).Shrimp tacos on the same plate as the fish tacos. Spoke to manager on phone. He Welcomed us back on another Tuesday night on him. Showed up another Tuesday night. Spent more money. No manager and NO ON HIM. Would not recommend to go here. Many other taco Tuesdays available with quality service and good food. I gave them the opportunity to make our experience better and he did not honor his word. Extremely...

This place, along with Hudsons has gone way downhill. The menu has beenhow. Ma chopped in half and barely offers any seafood. No mussels, shrimp, fish. Only lobster. The rules are over the top. I buy a glass of wine and wanted to sit on the side wall, watch the band, and have my wine. The bouncer told me I couldn't do that. Yet they allow people with coolers of beer brought in from the outside to sit and drink there. At least I brought mine there. False advertising is another problem. Went to their pig roast, the were roasting two tiny pigs, not to be eaten but just for show. The manager admitted the pigs were just for show and that the pulled pork was cooked in the kitchen. He then removed the sign advertising the roast so that no one else would complain. The food was good, but nothing tasted like a...
