Mike’s Gourmet Deli and Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

This place is great! We first bought the bacon, eggs and cheese on a bagel twice through door dash. It was always delicious. Eggs were fried well and bacon was crispy.

I figured I would try one of their deli sandwiches. I ordered on door dash a bologna sandwich but when I got it, it was ham. I called the deli and they were so apologetic and offered the next day to give me a makeup sandwich.

The next day the lady was so kind and remembered the sandwich. My husband also ordered their " Tony Soprano". We couldn't believe how amazing the sandwiches were. They stuffed it with a good amount of meat as well as cheese.

I have not been to the place but my husband said they offered great deals. We also loved the crumb cake as well as the fries.

He is already talking about going back to try more stuff. I just wish they advertised more in Levittown....

I live around the corner and this place has never gotten my order right. They have good quality food, so I want to go here more often. But each time I place an order for pick up (1 or 2 sandwiches, not a big order) they forget something like the salad dressing, or they use a white wrap instead of sundried tomato as requested. I keep giving them another chance but they never, ever get it right! I placed an order today and they even called me to let me know they didn’t have the lettuce I wanted. I was fine with that. I thought, they are being diligent this time, they have to get it right…..they did NOT! I never write reviews but I’m writing this one in hopes the deli sees it and gets my order right if I decide to give them one...

I moved to Florida in December 2021. Four trips back to New York every trip. I hit this place two or three times in the week that I’m here. The best owners, best staff, best bacon, egg and cheese and some of the best salads all around. Now living in southwest Florida I definitely miss having a great deli nearby. If you have not been there and you live in the Wantagh Levittown East Meadow Bellmore area highly recommend trying them they are awesome. My recent trip there was a group of about 10 to 12 older customers who followed the owners from a previous deli and they make it a weekly event. So awesome to see such great staff...
