New Wild Rice — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

We enjoy food from this little takeout about once a week, even in the summer. They make just about everything you can think of, including French Fries! And they are delicious. Those crinkle cut kind, cooked well. I happen to love their Egg Foo Young and I feel their price for the dinner menu is very fair and reasonable. My husband love EVERYTHING and I feel like in the past 30 yrs of marriage that we have been going to this take out restaurant, he has tried everything on the menu, and that is a lot of food. They also will do substitution's which for me is a big deal. I can’t stand celery, Just the thought of it makes me gag. When I asked for my meals that I know there are going to be vegetables in there I let them know about no celery and never once in all these years have they forgotten. Wow this place was VERY good! We have tried several places in the East Meadow, NY area and this one is the best so far! We ordered the Mango chicken as well as the Chicken with Garlic sauce, and they were very delicious! They both had so many unique flavors and incorporated different veggies and spices. The House fried rice and edamame were also complimentary to the main dishes. The price was good and the portion sizes were large. We will easily get 4-6 meals out of everything we ordered. The restaurant that we usually order from is closed on Monday, and we had a party of 6 coming to the house. We took a big chance ordering from a restaurant that we had never been to before, or ordered from before… and we were not disappointed.
