It seems as if they cook their food at a different location or cook their food early in the day. I ordered jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantain and steamed cabbage. The chicken and the plantain were VERY DARK, like they may have been in some kind of warming station. The reason I say that is because I had no sense of aroma when I walked in there (Nothing). There was no smell of food being cooked. I’ve been to MANY take out Jamaican restaurants, YOU ALWAYS SMELL THE FOOD BEING COOKED! Secondly their steamed cabbage was more of a steamed vegetables. The young lady asked me if I wanted cabbage, I said yes. But there were more peas and carrots than there was cabbage. If you call it steamed vegetables, then it was good. But it was not cabbage. And the chicken pieces they give, I don’t even know what it is. I’m used to leg and thigh cut up, but we got whole pieces of, maybe thigh, maybe breast, I don’t know. And the jerk sauce 🤮. It seemed like it was just Jar jerk seasoning thinned out with water.
