We were meeting relatives from out of state and had a hard time finding last minute reservations on Saturday night during Restaurant Week. I called to see if Azuma had availability and the friendly voice on the phone said to come whenever, no reservations needed. This tiny sit-down Asian Fusion restaurant in a small strip mall was a pleasant surprise. Parking in the front is tight, but there is also a back lot. We were greeted by a nice, masked hostess, and seated promptly safely distanced from other diners. The menu is fairly large and has many options - Sushi, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. We each got our own sushi rolls and miso soup or salad and ordered Chicken Pad Thai for the table. The Green Unagi roll was only 6 pieces but quite good for $6. We also enjoyed the larger Catapillar roll, 8 pieces for $13. The Chris and Yummy rolls, both with tempura shrimp, were a hit with our companions. We all liked the Chicken Pad Thai; it was a little spicy with the addition of slivered jalapeño and crunchy with peanuts. The chicken was incredibly tender. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was attentive. We will go back if...
Read moreI’m a local so I’d hate to bring down a local business, but I’d be doing a disservice not sharing my experiences with my community. My sister has found finger nails in her soup, I nearly choke on plastic pieces in their ginger and this place will leave u sitting on the toilet for an hour. If you want sushi, please go to Ake Bono across the street, my family has been going for years and their ingredients are always fresh and have never left me feeling sick or bloated- meanwhile azumas rolls look and taste old and you can tell by how you feel after. Not to mention their staff looks like they want you to leave the moment you walk in. It’s not the employees faults, but please save yourself the stomach ache me and others are currently enduring and I hope their business does better in the future. I will not be returning after giving them many chances to prove my past...
Read moreI was buying food from this restaurant so frequently that I started working here. If that doesn’t scream how great quality the food AND SUSHI is, I don’t know what does! The quality for the price is nothing that can be beat! My original go-to order was always 3 spicy crunchy tuna rolls with extra crunch - but I branched out once being employed there to my faves being the Huntington roll, the tiger roll (both special rolls), the TOKYO roll (one of the classic rolls comprised of shrimp, crab meat, mayo and crunch). I know me working here makes my review biased but it couldn’t be more genuine. I love it here and the ladies up front are so sweet always offering recommendations to the customers!! Hole in the wall...
