Teresa's Lunch Box — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

Teresa’s Deli is a local deli in my neighborhood. I always enjoy supporting local businesses BUT today I was disappointed. Ordering food for my family and I we ordered 4 egg sandwiches at 12:40 pm, As a deli I expect them to usually serve breakfast all day unless they state they aren’t, which is fine. But after order my whole order I noticed a charge for $1.00 for “Breakfast After 11 am.” I was SHOCKED! So I kindly asked for the bill and we paid and after we left I noticed there was a $1.00 charge for “Breakfast After 11 am,” for each sandwich which was an EXTRA $4.00 on the total bill. I understand that it is a business but to not even have a sign visible or let the customers know they’re is an additional charge is absurd. I understand being charged for extra eggs or meats but a $1.00 charge just because the time a day I ordered at is wild.

After I called the manager- I had a friendly conversation with her- she said the $1.00 is stated on the breakfast menu but like any other restaurants, they usually notify you if there is an additional charge for whatever it is you’re ordering. I have been going to this location since the day they opened, but will not be going back anymore after today. I ordered a breakfast wrap this morning and the price stated $7.95. The gentleman ahead of me ordered the same & when he got to the counter was charged $10.95. The owner pointed out that the price was wrong, flipped the sign to show the updated price and honored it for him. I came up right after him and was charged $10.95. When I mentioned to the owner that I ordered the sandwich with the price reflecting $7.95 and she honored it for the person in front of me, she stated "Well I know him and I'm not going to argue with him about it". After saying that wasn't right, she said she would meet me half way on the price, AND THEN CHARGED ME $13 FOR IT!!!! You've lost a customer who has been coming to your deli since the day it opened & to that location for 19 years, when it was the previous owners. Sad to see greedy owners who do not care about their customers!!!! You've lost a long time customer...

THE PRICES ARE WHAT THEY ARE BECAUSE EVERYTHING WENT UP THE LAST 4 YEARS,THEY KEEP THE PRICES BETTER THEN ANY PLACE AROUND AND THE SERVING ARE PLENTY FULL.THEY ARE ALSO THE 2024 & 2025 BEST DELI ON LONG ISLAND.
