Was extremely excited to try this place. Upon walking in there were quite a few people ahead of us waiting. The girls behind the counter were visibly stressed. Was not welcomed with a hello, we’ll be right with you. So standing in front of the counter felt awkward. Customers ahead of us were waiting girls behind counter were clearly not happy, and not engaging any of the customers.
Being my first experience and reading all the reviews I see why they are only about the food.
When we finally were up to order the girl at the counter said; are you next!?. No, warm greeting, or acknowledgement of our wait. Which was around 8mins - 10mins.
I ordered a Turkey Sub, with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, brown mustard, mayo, and horseradish sauce. My friend ordered a Roast Beef with Swiss, lettuce, tomato, mayo and Horseradish sauce.
She took my friends name and we sat down.
Our table was covered in white donut powder, and crumbs. Wiped it off with my sleeve cause there were no napkins at the tables.
Our subs surprisingly came up quickly. Maybe a 5 minute wait.
My friend went up to pay and we added 2 drinks to go with our subs.
Subs were not labeled so we weren’t sure who was who’s. Not a big deal. We opened them up and my friends subs was made with Roast Beef, American Cheese, Heavy amount of Brown Mustard, and Mayo.
My Turkey sub was missing the Brown Mustard. And my friend did not want any mustard on her sub.
By the time we received our subs the line of customers was at 8 people long. We did not even attempt to bring the issue to have the sub fixed. Partly cause we did not want to cause any more stress, and misery to the girls working whom already convey non-verbally their sense of everyone being there was an inconvenience.
Now, my sub was ok, for 8 dollars it was a great size, bread was fresh, lettuce was there but not much at all. The turkey used was delicious. As for my friends sub it was drowning in brown mustard she did not want. Suffice to say she was not pleased.
Overall, this experience would cause me to not go back again. Great food is wonderful, but a Hello, Be right with you, or Happy employees...
Read moreWe had heard good things about Filli's, so we drove over 30 minutes out of our way to see for ourselves. Small town, quaint shop, pretty good looking treats and foods in their display, and a decent chalkboarded menu.
We saw one older blonde employee lacking smiles talking rather harshly on the phone with a customer attempting to place an order -- but we chose to try to ignore it. We hoped that it was circumstantial, or maybe she was one bad apple-employee....
After deciding what we wanted to order, we turned toward the counter, waiting for the customer before us to gather their things so we could approach. A brown-haired man-employee was looking at us with a nearly angry expression before we realized that he had said "What can I get you". As we approached, he repeated with a bit more hostility, "What do you want". We briefly looked at each other in disbelief and then turned to him to reluctantly proceed with our order and he interrupted with "You let me know when you're ready" and he walked away with me in the midst of speaking our order.
Wow! I know that the post-Covid world in which we live is supportive of blanket rudeness and has ushered-in a new era devoid of traditional customer service, but Filli's just took it to a whole new level!
We left, unwilling to even share our money at the local McDonalds for fear that we, in some indirect way, would be supporting a community that allowed Filli's to do business there.
If you go there, bring a GoPro so you can relive...
Read moreThis place has some serious customer service issues. To the point that I will not be back ever. Called in my food order, waited 35 minutes and headed in to pick up. Only to find they never made my order. Now I wait for them to cook my order and before I pay, confirm that it's correct only to find out they made the buffalo chicken wrap wrong.. The lady then throws the incorrect sub and huffs off to make another one.Jersey baking, more like jersey attitude. I have had many subs made wrong here in the last few months and kept my mouth shut, not this time.Wait some more and then try and pay. Credit card machine not working, try three more times no luck. Had to leave and find an ATM machine to get cash and head back again. Pay and bring food home. 1. Buffalo chicken was not really buffalo flavored. Plain breaded chick...no flavor. 2. Turkey on hardroll with a gallon of Russian on it. Complete mess to try and eat. 3 . Hot pepperoni sub Ice cold and barely any pepperoni on it and no cheese. How hard can this be to write down what the customer asks for. The lady running this place needs to go and now. She is driving your customers and staff away. if you hate your job so much just leave. No will miss you. Crazy they are opening another location when they can't run this...
