Magdalena's is a hidden gem in the small town of Valatie, NY, offering some of the best Mexican food in the area. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with colorful decorations and friendly staff.
The menu features a wide variety of classic Mexican dishes, such as tacos, enchiladas, and burritos, as well as more unique offerings like the chile rellenos and mole poblano. Everything is made fresh to order, and the quality of the ingredients is apparent in every bite.
One standout dish is the fish tacos, which are expertly prepared with crispy battered fish, tangy slaw, and a delicious chipotle aioli. Another favorite is the carne asada, featuring perfectly grilled steak served with rice and beans. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available, including the flavorful mushroom tacos and hearty vegan burrito.
The drinks menu is just as impressive, with a great selection of tequilas, margaritas, and other cocktails. The house-made sangria is a must-try, with its refreshing blend of fruit and wine.
Overall, Magdalena's is a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food. The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Don't miss out on...
Read moreHeading back home after wife and I were camping we stopped into this place to grab a late lunch based off a coworker recommendation. Sign on the door said closed, contrary to the online info. Tried the door anyway - they said no problem come on in. Found out later that they were opening at 2 because they were prepping for a large party. (it was around 1 when we stopped). Had the place to ourselves! Killer. Friendly staff and awesome food. Authentic and sooooo many choices. Had the tacos - one with each meat, Alla different taste experience. Outstanding. Also the enchiladas with chicken - again, so tasty. Paired with their Hibiscus margarita and a Modelo dark this lunch was perfect. The margaritas are done with agave wine - go just for these. Was full but decided to go for the fried plantains with condensed milk. O.M.G. though we might save couple for the kids to try - nope. I could've had another plate of them. If you are in the area, stop and enjoy. It's worth the drive too, just watch the...
Read moreI love the food there and the people are very nice and the atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Only slight problem I had was with my to-go order. The metal containers with the plastic tops for not seal tight so then the way the bag was packed inside the plastic bag the side of beans that I bought and rice for tipped over on its side and leaking into the plastic bag. If it wasn't for the plastic bag it would have been all over. So my suggestion is if they're going to use that type of container to make sure that the metal seal is all the way squeeze down around the plastic top so nothing leaks or even taped if possible. But it wasn't too bad of a mess. And the food...
