My husband and I were vacationing in the area & wanted a pizza to go for dinner on a Fri night. I called ahead & ordered a whole "Bahama Mama" specialty pie for $22, for pick up. The pizza itself was delicious! The service, not so much. First, the phone was busy, had to call several times to get through. When I finally got through, the lady that answered immediately put me on hold for a solid 5 minutes. I almost hung up and called back because I thought she forgot me. I was told the pie would be ready in 25 minutes. I figured it was probably a busy Fri night, so that sounded reasonable. My husband dropped me off to run in and pick up, since parking is limited on Main Street. I was surprised to find there wasn't a soul inside eating at the restaurant. Rather small & basic inside, just a few booths, seems more suited to takeout, or just sitting down for a quick unassuming bite. The same lady that took my phone order was manning the counter. I paid, then waited. Nothing, they just left me standing there. I finally asked if my pie was ready. She yelled into the back & was told another 5 min. My husband had to circle the block while I waited inside. It ended up being closer to another 15 min before our 1 pie was finally ready, so like 40 min all together. But, at least it was worth the wait. Being from Long Island, we know good pizza, and while this style was a bit different with the sauce on top of the cheese, it was still very tasty. The sesame seed crust may very well have been the best part! 👌 I know Valatie is a small town, but we were shocked to pass by that Sunday around dinner time and see the restaurant closed. All in all, service wasn't the friendliest, but we would definitely order from here again if we ever come...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying the most exceptional pizza in Upstate NY to date! After an exhausting 8-hour drive from Maine on our way back home, my significant other and I decided to stop by the charming little town Valatie to satisfy our hunger. Opting for the Spinach & Ricotta pizza with a delectable stuffed bacon crust, we were blown away by the remarkable quality and incredible flavors that awaited us. It was truly unexpected to find such an outstanding pizza in such a quaint town.
To our delight, the service we received was equally remarkable. The cashier engaged my significant other in a delightful conversation, brightening our day even more. The friendly and attentive staff added an extra touch of warmth to our experience at Mark's Pizza. Needless to say, we are already planning our next visit to...
Read moreI have always gotten pizza from here. I think the best pizza in about a 50 mile radius. I have gotten pizza here my whole life. Never been disappointed. It is like any other pizza joint. If you are ever in the area for some food and also stopping by: get a slice or a whole pizza. You can get anything you want on it. One thing that makes Mark's Pizza so great is that it is always great service and it is a local business. It does have delivery. There is not much else to say about Mark's Pizza, Very good pizza. This pizza beats pizza from across the country. I went on vacation to California, and the locals recommend Pizza Hut. Mark's is better than any chain pizza. The local pizza there was not as good as Mark's. Please go to...
