Wonderful meal from salads to desserts! We’ve been meaning to go to DeNatale’s since it opened, we finally made it last night. We had heard great things, they were not exaggerations. There were three couples and we all ordered something different dishes. Salads were a large garden salad and wedge salad. Entrees ordered were Lasagna, Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp & Scallop Fra Diavolo, Linguini with meatballs and Mimi’s Loaded Pasta. The meatballs were large and very juicy, the sauce rich and flavorful and the shrimp and scallops were large and very tender. The piece of chicken for the parm dish could feed 2-3 people, with comparable size pasta order. Mimi’s had sausage, chicken, shrimp and artichokes. All said the food was very tasty. If that wasn’t enough, we shared four desserts; Italian Cream Cake, Chocolate Mousse w/brandy& amaretto, Tiramisu and Dulce Leche cheesecake w/caramel mousse & salted caramel sauce. Everything was was wonderful, including our server Savannah! How she carried those heavy bowls of food I don’t know. When you go, don’t eat lunch, eat half your entree and try a dessert. As we were leaving, I ran into a friend and former classmate and her husband having a pizza. They said it was very good and we will be back to try that soon. Even a 50 minute drive won’t keep us from going. Kevin and Theresa have created a very nice restaurant, please give it a try. They were very busy, so make...
Read moreI wanted to like this restaurant. Visually, it was lovely. Staff were welcoming. While the bread wasn't crusty, it was good. The meal began well with a good- sized, tasty Caesar salad. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. The "riggies in vodka sauce" turned out to be mostaccioli in a vodka-laced marinara sauce. The meatballs were terrible. Large pieces of raw garlic in loosely-formed ground beef were tasteless and had an unwelcome mouth feel. The "Mimi's Loaded Pasta" was in the aforementioned marinara, not a tomato cream sauce, and included 2 shrimp, some sliced sausage, and some bland chicken. My bigger complaint was that both pastas were horribly overcooked. When your pasta is splitting, al dente is far behind. I don't care how large portions are if the food isn't well prepared. The cappuccino I ordered had no foam and tasted like the ones that come from a deli machine. I couldn't drink it. Another $4 wasted. Sadly, our first impressions were over-shadowed by...
Read moreI don't know what frame of reference any of the previous reviewers have but from myself and my wife's perspective this was by far the worse so called Italian food we have eaten. The portions were rather large but this doesn't excuse the lack of flavor and taste in their tomato sauce including the meatballs. I've never had a thicker Chicken Parmigiana that was surprisingly tender but nothing special. Also, my wife asked for rigatoni instead of the linguini with her spaghetti and meatballs and the waitress actually said it would be an extra $3.00 for the change. What a joke! The highlight of the entire meal was the delicious appetizer of Tuscan Fries. I forgot to mention their bread was an afterthought and very weak. Needless to say, we regretted not going to the Irish Pub...
