EDIT: This place is not what it was. It seemed like after a while, they changed brands of their ingredients. I instantly tasted the difference, & it wasn't a step up. Then a bunch of new kitchen & wait staff appeared. Very young adults if not late teens.. Again, you could tell the difference, not for the better, but this time it was more substantial & significant. It seems like the first year they were on the corner of Main & John, they concentrated on all the qualities. ie - service, food, & prices. Then it seems like after they had us "hooked", they went cheap, & are hoping to ride human nature's adversity to change.. But that's just what it seems like IMO. The first 6 to 12 months before & after the move to John St. they were manufacturing magic. After the 2 dark-haired girls left, it's been a slow & steady decline in various ways since then. Back then my original review (below) was 100% earned & deserved. It seemed like their hearts were in it then. ORIGINAL REVIEW: A diamond in the rough... Everything is always great here. Finally a city style pizza joint in Hudson Falls! Quality ingredients & great staff make this my favorite eatery in the village, and one of my favorites in the Glens Falls region. I've been a fan since the start. Since then, word has spread & they're much busier now.. A testament to what a gem this place...
Read moreIm not really sure what's up with the other recent reviews but our experience couldn't have been better. Service: We ordered for pickup. Pizza was ready on time, staff was friendly.
Atmosphere: Pizza by the slice on display was plentiful which for those of you who dont know. This means, they move a high volume of pizza daily. If the pizza wasn't great they wouldn't anticipate selling them and they wouldn't be there.
Value: For less than $40 we got a large pizza with two toppings. Knots, jalapeño poppers, 2 display slices we wanted to try and a root beer.
The pizza is better than any one shop locally and yes, we have been to your local favorite spot as we take our pizza very seriously. Crust: perfect browned bottom, fluffy, puffy end crust. Chewy and firm. Sauce: great balance of savory and sweet. Toppings: cheese is authentic mozzarella shredded, true to NY name and toppings were plentiful but not smothering.
If you're serious about your pizza, go here with an open mind and leave satisfied with a full belly and a...
Read moreWe've been frequent customers of I Love NY for almost 4 years now and have always loved their pizza. The pizza is still good, and while the dinners used to be good, sadly, they've really just gotten bad. We ordered the chicken parm and found the chicken to be very dry and too salty. The chicken picata was not picata, but was salty, dry breaded chicken in a pool of water. Even the garlic bread that comes with the dinners was disappointing. It was basically a piece of a sub roll with butter on it, not toasted and didn't have any garlic on it at all. We've basically given up on ordering side salads there because they always forget to put them in with the rest of the to-go order and will not refund. I think we'll be getting our pizza and Italian dinners fix elsewhere...
