Wendy's — Restaurant in Town of Kirkwood

4/8/22 Friday I placed an mobile order pickup at 10:30pm. I pull up to the drive thru speaker and the woman on the intercom says they aren't taking orders, their system went down.

I tell the woman I placed a mobile order. She says she can't see the order with the system down, come back in a half hour to pick up my food 🤣

I say I'm not waiting a half hour for fast food, give me my money back. She says the money wasn't taken from my account yet, at 12am if the order wasn't picked up, the money isn't taken from your account.

I tell the woman my bank shows I was already charged. The woman says I'll be refunded at 12am. I tell the woman I have been through this mess before, I want her supervisor's name and the restaurant phone number.

The woman says she's the night manager and her name is Shakia and gives me the number. It's now Wednesday 4/13/22 and I still wasn't refunded.

I call Wendy's telling the employee who answered the problem, she gives the phone to Shakia. I tell Shakia that I wasn't refunded. Shakia says my bank put a hold on the refund 😂

I tell Shakia that's not how refunds work. Shakia puts me on hold. She now says I have to request a refund through Wendy's mobile app. I say how about we make it easier, I'll just pick up my order that I never received tonight since I'm in the area.

Shakia says we can't even look up what you ordered to give you food, I say I'll just show my mobile order... Duh

Shakia says she can't do that, I would have to request a refund through my mobile order or speak with the GM on Friday 4/15/22 about it.

Now I'm angry with this clown behavior. I tell Shakia she lied the first time and I'm done with the games, I'm not waiting till Friday to talk to your GM. She refers to the GM again. I ask her for the regional manager's name, she says she doesn't know.

I say what a joke, your a manager and don't even know your regional manager's name, thanks and have a good day.

I'll never give this place my time of day again. It's ghetto in comparison to the McDonald's across the street and the Popeye's Chicken directly next to it.

This is by far the worse Wendy's I have been to. I know the quality of food and customer service has diminished over the years but as a truck driver I (we) have limited options. Both drink machines in the lobby were covered in drink splatter as if it hasn't been cleaned in days, there was food under the tables, and the tables needed to be wiped down. Being that this location is open 24hrs, there is no reason why it should look so unkept. When they call you for your order pick up, they just say your name and leave the bag on the counter not even giving you an opportunity to ask for anything. I worked fast food before, greeting our customers, smiling, and seeing if we could be of any help was a standard that has long been lost. We ordered topped fries (chili cheese and baconator), they basically had 1/4th a burger in the chili that we had to chop up ourselves and the baconator fries had all the bacon you could ask for with cheese sauce in one corner and no shredded cheese. The only thing halfway decent was the burger. Due to the amount of time we spend on the road, cooking or trying to prep meals to have in the truck is not an option sooooo.....we are left at the mercy of fast food. If we have to pay more money for decrease amount and quality of food and non-existent customer service...who is benefiting cuz it dang sure isn't the customer. Y'all have got to do better or lower prices to match the service and food...

DO NOT EAT HERE. I GOT VERY SICK. I work on the road so I am used to fast food every now and then. This Wendy’s is attached to a gas station so I was already a little wary. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal with a vanilla shake/frosty. The kitchen was a mess, fries and condiments all over the floor that no one bothered to sweep up and I saw a total of one person wearing gloves... could’ve stopped there but I didn’t. Got my food and the first bite wasn’t bad but then when I got towards the center it was like cardboard and the fries felt like someone had only ran them under some hot water before I got them and the shake was so thick I had to eat it with a spoon which really was the least of my worries. Not even ten minutes later we got to the hotel and I was sweating horribly even in a truck with AC and a room with AC and my stomach was spinning. Got sick within 25 mins after eating it and got sick 3 more times before passing out and sleeping for 12 hours until I had to wake up for work.
