Sushi House — Restaurant in Town of La Grange

My current visit was absolutely horrible I ordered 3 inside out rolls the waitress says seaweed on the outside I say no rice on the outside she seemed confused but took the order she brings out my Sushi and there are three rows of rice deep. I called her over shoulder to Sushi and explain to her that that was unacceptable. She takes it back bring me back the same rolls with some of the rice taken out now it looks like a deformed miniature version of what a sushi roll should look like. I ended up not eating any sushi and returning it. Afterwards she proceeded to tell me that because it was a lunch special they couldn't make it correctly I asked her what she accomplished besides from getting a bad review and pissing off a local customer if she would have offered me normal sushi for a regular price I would have gladly accepted but she was expecting me to tell her how to run her business. Also the quality of the fish was subpar when I walked in I took a look at their display and should have known better and walked out This experience happen on a Monday the only reason I went there was because Sushi Village on Arlington Avenue in Poughkeepsie is closed on Monday and I even brought a guest with me. These guys need to go on Ramsay Gordon's show Sushi nightmares. Now I am no expert sushi chef but I can make better with a YouTube video.

This is my favorite sushi spot in the area! I do think quality has gone down just ever so slightly in the last 1-2 yrs but price point and deliciousness still surpasses all others in the area. Typical lunch specials but even ordering rolls separately is reasonably priced. Sushi rolls always taste fresh! I am obsesssssed with their veg fried rice/hibachi fried rice. The hibachi noodles are good but not my fav. The iced Thai tea is also a pleasant surprise at a sushi spot but one of our favorite dessert treats! We order from here pretty consistently and never have any complaints or errors in our order. Most recently sat for dine in which was fine but not especially memorable in terms of ambiance. If I could give this restaurant a 0 I would. When receiving my office order today that we placed with sushi house as we have done multiple times in the past, we opened our lunch to find a LIVE COCKROACH within a plastic container of sushi. I have never been more disgusted in a restaurant in my life. When I called to discuss this with them and report it, I was offered to have a new meal resent?! Unbelievable that they thought this was acceptable at all. While they have now refunded my order after fighting with them, I will never for any reason be ordering from them again and I stress to those who may, do you want live insects in your food?!...
