What a gem! Was heading from Rome to Syracuse for a show, and made a plan to stop by for an early dinner...glad we did! This place has won awards for their burgers, and I can taste why... I had the Cowboy Burger - bacon, onion/bacon jam, and potato strings - voted a top ten burger in 2022...let me tell you, this was incredible! The beef was fresh and cooked perfectly, the onion bacon jam was slightly sweet and smoky, and the slices of bacon were, well, bacon...good with everything! But truthfully the addition of the potato strings put it over the top. These crispy, super thin fried potatoes gave the burger such an amazing texture contrast...just amazing! My wife had the JJ Burger, which is Mac n cheese on the burger...I tasted the Mac, and it was rich and creamy - definitely homemade. The French fries were also homemade...they did not come out of a bag frozen and dropped in the oil. These are not fast food fries..but they are the perfect middle ground of crisp and potato-ey. Lastly, I will say it's a pricier burger, but it's excellent quality food, and a lot of it. I have no issue with the price whatsoever for food of this quality...worth it for sure. It's a smaller place, and I can picture it packed for lunch with the municipal building complex that surrounds the area. It was clean and humble, and it's clear they know what they are doing. The waitress was efficient and nice...brought me a refill before I asked...very attentive. In short, great food...I wish I lived closer...but we'll be back for sure!

What a great find ! Quiet casual atmosphere, with great food. The menu has lots of home cooking favorites to choose from. The burgers are amazing looking and based on what I saw, they are very popular. Almost every table had someone enjoying one in their group. They guy next to me had one version of their burger that arrived and was 9" high on his plate and when he was done I asked how it was, he said "amazing " I had the pot roast and that was a treat. Huge chunks of super tender beef in a rich gravy with carrots etc. piled high over a creamy mashed potato. Really a well made dish. My friend had a burger, she said was delicious. ⚠️ When you walk in the desert display is filled with lots of very tempting choices. They are just as good as they look. The chocolate chip cookies are so good. Our waitress was so friendly and quick. Everything about this place works and we will seek it out again. I want a burger next time! Ps had a side of Mac and cheese that knocked my socks off. If you like a casual American fare, with home style flavors you will not be disappointed going here. Not a big place maybe 10 or 12 tables. Some tables outside also. Parking was easy,

Went for lunch. Was take-out only (one day only for upgrades) so I didn’t see inside but from other reviews it seems fine. Food was amazing. I got the the Gavel (steak, onions and bacon) comes with cheese but I declined. Also includes a side, I’m diabetic so I took fries for the dog (side could be fries or Mac n cheese). I normally put ketchup or at least salt/pepper on my sandwiches and I didn’t need a thing. It was perfect. No complaints about the food. My wife had the Reuben, side of Mac and cheese. She loved it and also had no complaints. 2 lemonades and both sandwiches was $31 and some change, I think that’s my only gripe is the price HOWEVER they use farm fresh ingredients, it’s scratch stuff, local, so as much as I’d want to gripe about it, i can’t because it’s a local business and they’re doing it all right. Starting small and working their way up. I’ll def be back and referring people. Both pictures are of sandwiches half eaten, portions are great.

We enjoyed our meal once we figured out where to park. Because the restaurant put several planters in the parking spots in front of the restaurant and some patrons were seated on the small sidewalk outside, it was a little puzzling as to where to park. Once inside, the atmosphere was warm and friendly with eclectic wall art. My hubs had a salad, my son enjoyed mac & cheese and a chicken sandwich. I had a reuben sandwich with homemade chips, which were very very crispy. I've had better, less soggy sandwiches but this was tasty. Afterward, we were all so full that we couldn't even look at the front case full of desserts.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the BBQ sandwich at Madison Bistro and I must say it was absolutely delicious. I was surprise never thought I could find a sandwich this good in Central NY, a masterpiece of flavors and textures great balance of sweetness and smokiness, therefore congrats to the pit master Victor. Service was prompt and friendly.if you are looking for a good BBQ I highly recommend to give this pulled pork sandwich a try, you’ll leave with smile on your face. Overall great experience PS I love lettuce and tomato it was extra for me but worth it.

I enjoy my visit to Madison Bistro. It is a pretty neat local place with "regulars" - I could tell by the way the staff bantered and cared for some of the customers. It felt like I visited my local diner in lancaster PA. I had the Gavel, a sliced hot beef sandwich with there homemade chips. It was very good. My waitress was good, however it seemed like a long time between brining my food and coming back to see it I needed anything - I wanted a side of their special sauce to add to my sandwich. Overall I enjoyed my visit and I would go back in a heart beat.
