Theodore's Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Lenox

I’ve been there a total of 3 times since they’ve opened in Canastota. The 1st, I was impressed. It’s atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Service was polite and gracious. The food was delicious and very fair price wise. Fast forward to these past 2 times, and I’m immensely disappointed. The second time was Mother’s Day The buffet was bland and plain and the price was OUTRAGEOUS. Seriously, their vegetable medley looked like it came from frozen veggies and not fresh. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Between covid and it was Mother’s Day. Now, I went for the third time tonight. I ordered the haddock. I originally wanted the stuffed haddock (it was on the menu, but they didn’t have it). Ok then. I’ll grab The broiled haddock with greens. Nope, no greens. So, I grabbed the broccoli. The staff was short tempered and put out a very snobbish attitude. I was not impressed. Got home with my dinner. It had a very STRONG fishy odor. Even my hubby got a strong whiff of it (I had not even opened the bag yet). Needless to say, I am now feeling sick snd I am kicking myself for eating it. I am very disappointed in the outcome of this restaurant. Our area does not have a lot of local fine dining. Needless to say, I would equate this place to a greasy spoon diner. I will not...

I came here when they first opened, since the old location "Delphia's" in Chittenango was closing, and that place was AMAZING. However, at the new location, with the new owner, I believe it's gone downhill, on an honest note. My family and I were treated really disrespectfully. We went in and it took 10 minutes to be seated and another 10 just for the waiter to come up. We made a short complaint and an employee responded that we shouldn't have sat at our spot (since it was an area far away from the entrance), BUT WE WERE SEATED THERE BY STAFF! Food was good, just absolutely disappointed with how some of the employees treated us. Thanks to the former Delphia's employees that recognized us and apologized, we appreciate it, but an honest review must be made for...

Had a wonderful meal here on Thanksgiving! Very home style cooking. We made reservations and were promptly seated upon arrival. The decor is a little dated but the food is great. Wait staff was attentive and cleared empty dishes quickly. Many style meals were available to include steak, shrimp and the classic turkey. Ordered the turkey meal and it came with white and dark meat, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce covered in gravy. There was also a side salad and dessert, apple or pumpkin pie! Food was plentiful and warm when arriving at the table. Very tastey. It was filling to the point we had to get pie to go! Kudos to the staff for taking Thanksgiving to make other a meal.
