Duck Stop Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Lyme

We stopped in for breakfast and it was really good, served quickly and very reasonably priced. The coffee was very good also! The waitress was great! Very friendly, attentive and fun! ( Thanks Again Lindsey 😉 ) We actually struck up a conversation with a couple people at the next table when they heard we were from Pa. and learned one of the gentlemen had built the different caps on the roof of Boldt Castle, delivered them on a barge and installed them. Recently, I visited the Duck Out for an ice cream. The owner took my order - simple vanilla cone- she gave me soft serve . I responded that I wanted hard ice cream. She immediately became gruff and told me that I should have told her that first. She went to replace the order and returned with a baby vanilla serving in a cup. I couldn’t wait to get the duck out of there. I give her 1 star because they won’t let me give her zero. Now when we crave a frozen treat and courteous correct service we go Lickedy split to Lickedy Split... Duck...

The ice cream is creamy and delicious. They have soft serve, hard ice cream and they make other things as well. The staff is usually very friendly and keep the line moving when it's busy. It is usually quite busy during the summer season. They have a list of sundaes you can chose from, but they can make pretty much anything you can think of. They always have a special sundae of the day which is a bit lower price, but for a large sundae with loads of topping they are not...
