We stopped here on our way through on vacation. We had looked up a couple of other places that may have fit our criteria: good food, relaxed, family friendly, and this seemed to fit that.
We arrived around 4-5p, and there were 2 other tables full. We picked our seat and started looking at the menu. We had our 1yr with us who had some energy. No one seemed to mind. They had high chairs, too. The server was quick and made helpful offers. Our food came out fresh and hot. We got the lasagna with applesauce, chicken Philly, and chicken Florentine soup. All was delicious and seemed homemade. We were expecting the chicken Philly to be like a chicken cheesesteak but it wasn't though it was still tasty. We were very pleasantly surprised to find this gem in a small town.
My husband and son went to the nearby park while I checked out. At this time, all the tables were full of people. It did take a little too long for someone to come back and check in, offer boxes, etc. I was patient as I saw it was busy for 2 wait staff. That was my only complaint, but I finally got checked out.
Overall, great experience, family-friendly, and delicious food. Unfortunately, no pictures were taken as we were...
Read moreI had a wonderful breakfast experience at Reilly’s Cafe in Marathon, NY. This cozy diner impressed me with its cleanliness and simple yet inviting decor.
Our breakfast choice was the Farmer’s Omelet, and it did not disappoint. The omelet was a perfect blend of fluffy eggs, fresh vegetables, and just the right amount of cheese. It was hearty without being overwhelming, a testament to the kitchen's skill in creating a balanced and tasty dish.
The service at Reilly’s Cafe added to the pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring our meal was enjoyable without being intrusive. They had a good knowledge of the menu and were quick to refill our coffee.
In summary, Reilly’s Cafe is a great choice for anyone in Marathon, NY, or passing by on I-81 looking for a satisfying, well-prepared breakfast, lunch or dinner in a comfortable setting. The Farmer’s Omelet is a must-try – simple, delicious, and exactly what a good...
Read moreThe food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered fish and chips with a side of mac. The mac and cheese was obviously frozen and reheated atleast twice. It was soggy mooshy and down right had no taste at all. The fish fillets were 3 of the smallest fillets I've ever seen. Looked and tasted identical to the one you get from Walmart in a yellow bag. My girlfriends lasagna had enough sauce on it to make an entire 12x12 pan of pasta. The noodles again were reheated atleast twice. So soggy and mushy it wasn't funny. I was so excited when I first went in because I hadn't seen a mom and pop in atleast the last 5 years. I left severly disappointed. I left this review on the owners Facebook page and all she did in return was react with a laughing emoji and deleting my comment. Very unprofessional. Can't wait to see the...
