A1 Kings Buffet — Restaurant in Town of Massena

As with so ,so ,so many other local and Independently Owned Restaurants we had exhausted all patience with this sad establishment nearly three years ago ! Although we had become very friendly with some of the staff and their children during the several visits my wife and I tried to caution them about the serious inconsistencies of quality , freshness and cleanliness throughout the site , our constructive criticisms went ignored ! At our last visit ( again about 3 years ago ) and with the final humiliation to us by " these friends " of fecal filth on the Hallway floors outside and also inside the lavatories , old / recycled / hard / dried food and total / apparent indifference by the co-owner of our serious concerns WE HAD ENOUGH ! How this facility has been permitted to intermittently operate on a limited basis over these recent years with numerous legitimate complaints placed with the Saint Lawrence County Unit attached with the N.Y.S. Department of Health Services hard to believe . What does it take to ban certain individuals from ever again operating certain types of public businesses that can potentially make all the public...

Idk what happened to this place in the last 5 years but " what a dump" . Used to be an awesome place to go eat. Now By far the most depressing restaurant I've ever been to. I didn't dare eat much in fear of food poisoning. At 6 o'clock your getting whatever garbage is left from the day that hasn't sold and no more. Not that you would want to ,but you don't have to worry about not being able to try everything cause there isn't anything to speak of on the buffet. No fountain soda, your getting a 16oz bottle when you arrive. At a price tag of $35 for 2 people to eat it holds up poorly against every Chinese buffet within 60 miles. Driving a truck I try to stop when time and parking allow and enjoy a good meal. I love Chinese and everything fell in place for me to be able to stop, I am fortunate I did. The food was fresh and had excellent flavor. The interior is dim but I'm guessing that's for ambiance not for practicality. Service was there when needed. Being here for a late lunch on a Thursday I did not expect many people but there was a steady stream and all the conversations where about the good food. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stop.
