Via Main — Restaurant in Town of Massena

First time here and will never be back. I’m actually still currently sitting here! The problem isn’t with the food (that’s if it came out), it’s with a certain wait staff. Smaller older lady. Most rude person I have ever came in contact with in the food industry. The table currently next to us agrees as well. Just throws your food on the table without saying a word and just walks away. Acts like we are the biggest inconvenience when we mentioned that stuff that we ordered never came out. Waited 20mins for just a side of sausage. So impersonal and looks like she hates the world, herself and every one in it. “Would it be a bother to ask for some hot sauce?” “Yes it would” and never came back with hot sauce. Super disappointed. Again, food was great but she ruined our out of town experience. She didn’t have a name tag, but another table near us said “Cathy used to be such a lovey lady, now she just does a hit and run with food” so sad. Maybe it’s time she retires.

Editing to add: just left and we had to battle to get the correct change up at the register. Some younger gentlemen who was very kind helped her out to give us correct change. Again, I know mistakes happen but she was so rude about it.

Service was horrible, server carried our drinks with her hand on the rim of our cups, hashbrowns were nothing but big chunks of potatoes ( not bite size ) thst were cold and no seasoning. Ordered 2 steak and eggs..1) was supposed to be med well & other med rare..both were well done and like chewing on leather. Ham & cheese omelet was watery and made with sliced sandwich meat and cheese. Server never asked if me wanted refills on coffee's or drinks. Brought our check maybe 10 min after we started eating. Never offered a Togo box or asked why food wasn't eaten, was there a problem? Server wore a mask but it never covered her nose so that was useless. Bill was written out so sloppy we were unable to figure it out. Overall it was bad service,food was cooked wrong & poor quality, Server was unsanitary. Will not b going back again and will...

The waitress was extremely rude! People who came in after us got served before us, I ordered poutine and my son ordered fries, we both thought they tasted like chemicals, but we are picky, so we gave them to my husband who eats anything as he isn't picky, and he immediately spit it out, we tried to quietly tell the waitress and not once but three times she publicly embarrassed us, even stating she took our food to the kitchen and tried it herself and it tasted fine, not sure why she would eat after her customers but that's gross!
