Zippy's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Mayfield

Zippy's Ice cream is great. It's on Rt.30 in Mayfield next to Stewarts. It's the perfect place to stop either on your way to or after leaving the beach/ Lake. They have good prices and a lot of options. Zippy's has all the hard/soft ice creams you would expect from an ice cream shop and a few that are uniquely Zippys. I know they have at least one "dairy free" ice cream, (cookies and cream) which is very good and there's also a sorbet which is another dairy free option. They have a decent food menu for anyone looking to eat something other than ice cream. There is outside seating on picnic tables and some comfortable wood chairs (I believe they might be original Adirondack chairs). I've been to zippy's a few times now with my brother and my three year old niece. Its becoming a new Tradition for us after we leave the beach. It's the perfect place to go after a long hot day in the sun. Everytime we leave the beach now my niece knows we're gonna pass Zippy's and she makes sure that both my brother and I see that it's coming up so we don't pass it. We tried Zippy's tonight and will definitely go back for more. Zippy's is a fantastic choice for a delicious treat! They have a lot of ice cream flavors, including some tasty gluten free options. If you like Dole whip they've got you covered. Some inventive sundae creations too, beyond the usuals ice cream places often have. The menu also said they do cone flights and sundae flights. We didn't try those so can't comment but the idea sounds great. If you're lactose intolerant they have Lactaids for sale. The staff was polite and friendly and so fast!! We noted they use paperless ordering on pads that they wipe clean.

Zippy's Ice Cream...what a place...or, as I like to say, "the closest that humankind has come to creating heaven on Earth." When I am at zippy's, all of my worldly problems disappear, and am stricken with overwhelming bliss.

They have a wide variety of soft and hard ice cream, with weekly flavors which will not only knock your socks off, but send them to the moon's orbit. Even the flavors I don't think I'll like are delicious.
