As someone who tries to support local businesses as much as possible, I’m super disappointed to say that I don’t think I will be returning to the cottage after the service that my friends and I received tonight. It was about a 20 minute wait which was fine, we saw some open seats at the bar so went over to get a drink before sitting down for dinner. The bartender Dan came over and we still needed a minute to figure out our drink orders so my boyfriend ordered a water to start. The bartender scuffed and then went over to one of his coworkers complaining that we were taking up seats at the bar just to get a water. This was an instant turn off. No one else was waiting to sit at the bar and we were going to order drinks we just needed a minute. After he dropped the water off he looks at me and says “NEXT” very rudely which again, caught me off guard. He was extremely rude to my friends and I. My boyfriend then asked for a shot of whiskey and the bartender made fun of his order? We were all very confused at these remarks as we were just trying to have a good time and get some drinks. It ruined our time out and was such a turn off. This man should NOT be working in...
Read moreGrew up in the area and have heard great things. Went there today for the first time with 3 people I work with and got the worst service. First they were not busy at all and took 10 min to get served or acknowledged. Once we got drinks the draft coke had 0 syrup and was awful. Asked for waters and got them 45min later when are food finally arrived. The waitress in a tie die grateful dead shirt was to busy with her boyfriend and texting on her phone to serve us. She clears all our plates and does not give us the bill until 15min later we had to go to the bar and pay. Food was outstanding so sad a terrible waitress ruined my first time. I'll be back another time to give it another try but super disappointed after all the great things...

However, the French Onion soup that we each ordered was delivered to our table lukewarm and wasn't as good when compared to other local pub restaurants. Also, service was a bit slow (even though the restaurant wasn't particularly full). And here's a first, I was charged a buck for a taste of a craft beer I wasn't familiar with. This has never happened in any other restaurant. Finally, I almost didn't get a beer refill until we reminded the server that it was...
