Rowan's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Moravia

Hubby and I went last night for our anniversary to try something new.

The Good: Nice atmosphere. Clean and comfortable. Friendly waitress, although you could tell she was new. Wait time was acceptable for the number of people dining. Price. Under $60 for two people, including an appetizer, two dinner specials, and a 20% tip. Portions. We got the chicken alfredo special and the bowls were HUGE! We both had enough leftover to take home for the next day, and my husband has a healthy appetite!

Areas for Improvement: Whoever posted the menu on Google should take it down. Items listed do not match what's on their actual menu, so we were disappointed when we got there and didn't see half the options we were looking at before going. Flavor. While you get a generous portion of chicken alfredo for $15, the chicken lacked seasoning making the dish very bland.

Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I don't think it was worth the 30-minute drive. We may give it another shot once they've been open longer and get in their groove. Little tweaks could make this a great addition...

Fast, friendly service. Tasty food, large portions, and good prices. Comfortable indoor seating, though no music playing was a little odd because you feel like everyone is listening to your conversation. (The music doesn't need to be loud) Also the lighting is quite bright — good for reading the menus, but it can feel like you are on display.

Fries are great, and the burgers are quite large. The Reuben and the Turkey sandwich are great if you want to take home half of your sandwich. I wish there were more chicken sandwich options, especially a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Also wraps would be great.

Has outdoor seating and it looks like it'll have more soon, but the chairs are a bit tight for heavy people. Would be great if they had a nice outdoor garden area with a fire pit.

Overall I'm just excited that Moravia has a nice American-style bar & restaurant with good food and service and I don't have to drive to the Fargo Grill in Aurora or to Auburn any time I want a...

Rowan’s is great! I have recommended it to many people. I have went there a few times now and it has been very worth it both times! The first time I went was the second day they were open and although the wait was long my boyfriend and I were very satisfied with the food! The burgers were great and had amazing flavor. I LOVED the fries they are my favorite I have been craving the fries so much I had to place another order today just to get some more fries! Would definitely recommend.
