I wish I could respond to the other reviews left on here as I was a part of what Kennedee and Preslee are referring to. My mother in law was simply asking questions about items on the menu that can be nice to know and helpful with certain dietary restrictions. The response to her questions was far beyond what would be deemed as acceptable. My in laws came across the country and this experience did not reflect the rest of the community they enjoyed. Not for nothing, the “nicest guy around” would never proclaim themselves as such. “Rude is what your mom got” is a beyond disappointing response and frankly embarrassing. The reviews have nothing to do with poor food quality or a dirty establishment because this place is surely neither of those. During her order, my mother in law asked question to the owner which, at worst, could only reasonably be interpreted as a miscommunication, and at best an over polite customer; but would never warrant the response given. My only guess is that the owner somehow interpreted her questions as condescending, which was absolutely not the aim. Even if she was, a couple simple questions should not be so inflammatory and should have been dealt with, with more finesse and understanding. Business can be very stressful and we understand that. Often times one thing can spill over into another interaction, but at the end of the day, the customer should be given the advantage. The purpose of these reviews is not to tarnish a local business or “do damage” to it’s google ratings. It is a reminder to give the customer the benefit...
Read moreEven though the food was good, it is not handicap or wheelchair friendly. If there is handicap parking it was chained off. Parking is in back of the building but the entrance is in the front of the building. The driveway and walkway is all pea stone, no concrete or blacktop. Then there is an incline to even get to the front of the building and handicap ramp. So if you are in a wheelchair or struggle with walking, you will have a hard time to get to the ramp without assistance. Then when you do get to the entrance, the doors are not handicap accessible, so no button to get them open. Whoever came up with the plan for handicap accessibility, did not do their homework. It's amazing how many places in 2021 are still not handicap friendly. I understand it is a old building that is being reused, but if you want all people to come, engineers or whoever came up with the redesign need to do to a better job of thinking about people with physical disabilities. And if they offer curbside pickup, it was never offered to me when I called and placed a to go order. Plus there is a entrance in the back of the building, but that is a employee only entrance that leads to the kitchen and you wouldn't know it until you go back down the steps and then you see the Employees Only sign on the floor of the deck next to the railing, so you would have to look down in...
Read moreWhat an amazing place. Extremely well done, well managed and CLEAN!! The restaurant is small with an extremely cool atmosphere and even better food. It is such a delight to step into a place and see a small menu to satisfy different pallets as well as tastefully done decor. I've seen many restaurants attempt what they have done here without successful execution or vision. Bravo you two bravo! I would challenge you to find a restaurant within a 40 mile radius that even compares to this one. If you're looking for a greasy spoon diner to serve overcooked bacon, hash browns that taste like 4 day old fryer grease and white bread then this is not the place for you. If you want to eat very well put together flavor combination made with fresh ingredients that will simply make you smile with every bite, then this is the place you want to be. Embarrassed I have never stopped in here before.
Side note - kudos on the pro 2nd amendment sticker. We exercise that right with or without an inviting sticker but it is nice to see a business...
