Old School Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Naples

Maybe the owner was having a bad day or he just thinks too highly of himself. Our group of 8 walked in for a late brunch and to try a different spot to eat while we are at our camp property. Having never been in, we entered and stopped inside the entrance. We did not know if we were to seat ourselves, order food, menu. I happened to see the menu on chalk boards on the side walls, nice touch. One of the group had not and received a sarcastic reply directly him to the menus on the walls. Then as the group sorted out what we were going to do, the owner started whistling, who knows what his impatience was, he wasn’t overly busy. One of our party then placed an order and the owner walked away. We decided we had seen enough of his sarcasm and poor customer service. The guest that had placed his order attempted to cancel his order but the owner had walked away. We left and went to our vehicles, the owner came out the back door and proceeded to give our group the middle finger. We all know what that means and back at you sir. Next time come to my vehicle door and express your opinion and I will express mine right back too you.

I really wish we could have tried the food but couldn’t get past his lack of people skills and...

Followup: this dude replied exactly how I expected him to reply based off other poor reviews. As a business owner, your attitude is disgusting towards a poor review. Maybe learn how to take constructive criticism instead of trying to be witty and sharp. Nothing in your little schoolhouse stated there was "no bartender" nor was it clear that orders were to be made up front. Hey, at least you didn't give us the middle finger like you did the other customers who didnt appreciate your smart-ass attitude!

Walked out without being served. Came for a bloody mary, walked to the bar-top , and some guy from the back was quite rude. Said he wad to order from up front and walked away. Never heard of ordering a cocktail from a take-out window? Needless to day, we left. Sounds like some other reviews have some similar things to say about this...

We just ate here for lunch and let me say it was incredible!!! We will absolutely be back again and again. Nice and comfortable seating options inside or outside where you can seat yourself after you order at the counter. The owner and staff couldn't be friendlier and welcoming -- we will be frequenting this place on repeat! Really appreciate the vegetarian options and there is also a bar with an excellent little beer selection, which was just perfect. We both had the noodle bowl with the crispy tofu and it was hands down the best tofu I've ever had (and it's something I eat a lot). Super fresh, super delicious! Oh and there was some live music when we were there outside in their park-like setting, which made for such a great lunch. Highly recommend and looking forward to exploring the rest...
