Although I go to ihop often because my daughter and I love their New York Cheesecake pancakes, we had one of the worse experiences ever. It started out well the hostess greeted us and brought us to our table. Asked us what drinks we wanted. It was a cold night so both my daughter and I wanted Hot chocolate. We were told they were out. Ok so we both got an ice water with lemon and I also ordered a hot tea. We also had a friend with us that evening and he ordered a chocolate milk. After that three of us sat talking while we decided what to order. Shortly after the hostess comes back to take our orders. We ordered our usual. The food didn't take long before it was being brought over to our table. I instantly noticed I was shorted a pancake and asked for it as I am paying for 4 not 3. This seemed to annoy the hostess. I also mentioned we hadn't received our drinks yet.She starts to walk away and I stop her. One of us also havent gotten any utensil to eat with. She states we are short staffed and "I am doing the best I can" very rudely mind you. She leaves. She did bring over a chocolate milk and 2 waters not long after that without saying a word and walked away. A few minutes after that my pancake was dropped off, still saying nothing. She didn't offer even syrup for it as it was served dry. I didn't say anything. We finish eating. The hostess Eventually dropped the receipt off again without a word. Didn't ask if we enjoyed our food, didn't ask if we needed anything else or if we wanted a box for the remaining food, nothing. We got payment ready and sat it on edge of table. We waited and waited. She never returned. I also never did get that tea I ordered and sat cold the entire time. Eventually one of us went to her and said can we pay? We paid for the meal and left. I understand everyone is short staffed currently but when we were at Ihop on a random Wednesday night, there were only us and one other table. Also being short staffed is not a valid reason for...
Read moreThis was my first time going to an IHOP and I decided to go with my young kids (3yrs and 10 months), husband, and mother who happened to be visiting. We were happy with the food which is one of the reasons I'm not giving 1 stars.
We arrived before 9am. It took a couple minutes for someone to notice us to get seated even though there were only a couple tables taken by customers. Waiter started off great. He was kind and I was impressed that he took everyone's order without needing to write everything down. This took about 15 minutes but I wasn't too worried since it gave us time to look over the menu. After this though, it took about 45 minutes to get the food. I asked about when it was coming out since I believed it had been about an hour. Waiter comes over grumbling with some attitude how it hadn't been an hour and finally gives us our food. My mother complained and asked for a discount. Who I assume to be a manager comes over and says while it wasn't an hour, it was about 45 minutes which isn't too bad but still unacceptable so she said she would take something off the bill. After food and tipping, it was around $80. This was with the whole $7 they took off... I found this a bit insulting since it seemed like they didn't care too much about having to make people wait in an almost empty restaurant.
I will give IHOP another chance but not this location. While I understand there are off days, I feel they could have acted more respectful when concerned were brought up...
Read moreWas there with my daughter & 2 grandsons 2 weeks ago. IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES!!! They do not even deserve 1 star. It took forever to get our food. Several others came in after us & got their food way before us. When we did get our food everything was incorrect. They waitress was overwhelmed, because she seemed to be the only waitress. Wasn't busy but too much for 1 waitress. We waited way to long for corrections. My 8 year old grandson got his correct order when we were all finished. It was a Tuesday & kids are supposed to eat free, but they charged us for them anyway. The bill was outrageous!! Over $47.00... Ridiculous! I flagged down the manager & told him how we felt. He apologized & said he would refund our money, but the waitress had already rung up the bill. So he took my card info & said he would put the money back on my card. I've called to see when this was happening & he said he was working on it. I will NEVER go back to IHOP again!! Calling him again today to see what the hold up is. Not happy at all. Their chef apparently can't read an order, cook or do either in a timely manner. The waitress, I felt bad for. The manager makes promises he doesn't keep. Very disappointing experience. Never again! I did finally get my money back from a different manager. But it shouldn't have taken nearly 3 weeks. I think the original manager was thinking I would just forget about it & let it...
