Tony's Pizzeria & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Town of New Hartford

Oh boy... Where to begin. Let's just say that our server was very inexperienced and was also the only server on the floor, according to the owner (Frank). She did several of the... You call her over and she gives you the "hold on" finger and goes to attend to something more important than you... Like 3 times. Not good. When she did that to us, we told Frank we needed our waitress and he said he'd have her come over. I said that we actually already called her over and he said, "Oh, well I just gave her another table and I only put one server on a Monday." Things you don't tell your customers: Justifying why your waitress was unable to attend to you when it is her JOB Actually point out that you purposely only have one server on Not even help us with what we wanted!!!! We had to wait another five minutes for her to show up, and it was for the stuff she was supposed to bring us in the first place! We also saw the same thing happen to like 2 other tables and one walked out because they were so frustrated. There's a lot of potential here. There's lots of arcade games, however they are ridiculously expensive. A dollar for Deer Hunter, really? The games that promise a prize don't deliver, and Frank just shrugs and says he doesn't own the machines so he can't do anything but give us our money back. Ohh kay... Then the kids' area. Sigh. Cute concept, absurdly disgusting. I'm not kidding that there was a layer of grease and grime on EVERYTHING in the play area. Then, the bathrooms. I don't know what was on the floor but it was very slippery. There was no changing table for a baby, so that was awesome. Short answer: never going back. I can't even believe the owner is okay with how things are being run there. It makes me think that all they care about must be...

Two (see below for why 1 star) stars because it was edible but we probably shouldn't have. We arrived at a friend's house from Las Vegas tonight on our trip across country and wanted some good NY pizza and wings. We ordered a large pepperoni, 30 wings and a large salad. Price quoted was over 80$. We cancelled the wings and price over $30. Whoever took the order could've mentioned their special is a large two topping pizza and 30 wings for $38 but didn't. So we called back and change the order. In Las Vegas when you order wings, ranch or blue cheese is included but I guess not here. They didn't even offer to sell me some when I asked if they were included. When we got home and I opened the salad there was a clump of hair and I don't know what else attached to the hair. See picture attached. We called to inform them of this problem and after a few minutes of back and forth because I didn't take my receipt with me. They finally said they would credit my credit card for the cost of the food. Now as for the quality of the pizza, wings and salad, we were not impressed at all. The pizza was okay. The wings were way too salty and too much breading. The salad was average. I look forward to getting home to tell our local pizza joint that their $5 pizza is better than a New York pizza. My uncle ordered and prepaid for 3 half-trays from Tony's for a gathering Monday afternoon. The receipt he had confirmed 5/16 at 1pm as the date and time of the delivery. As 1 o'clock came and went my family wondered where our food was. When my mother called she was informed that the food was delivered at 1pm the previous day. We assumed the food delivered Sunday was someone anonymous sending food as a gesture of sympathy. We were very lucky to have more than enough other offerings for the 20-30 people at the house.

I would hate to have this happen to someone else who might not have made additional arrangements. My uncle asked for a refund on the entire order and told them he would be in with his credit card; I was just informed that he received a 50% refund. To me, this is unacceptable. This was a large catering order for a very significant event that was completely mishandled. None of my friends or family will trust this place following the events of the past 2 days. Word of mouth and Internet reviews are major factors when people are deciding where to eat.

Also, the chicken riggies were terrible and were not even close to real riggies. The riggie sauce was regular marinara, the rigatoni were enormous rather than bite-sized, and the chicken was a few dime sized pieces sprinkled on top. Really horrible experience overall, very...
